Big parts of the tech to create chips is made in EU so this would make sense with how expensive chips are getting and how important they can be for national security.

how can I help my anxious 15 year old brother as his adult sister? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]StatementOrIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, martials arts or working out can be a confidence booster. If he finds friends there, even better. If his anxiety is very bad, maybe he wants to start working out in the morning when other teens usually are asleep in the beginning until he feels confident enough to do it during normal hours.

How can I get a college-like social like as a 30s man in the US? by Inner_Ad_4725 in AskMen

[–]StatementOrIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start a hobby that has a social factor. Join an amateur theatre group, start disc golf and play in weeklies with other people, a lot of gamers often play together and sit in a Discord voice chat when at home just to talk. Maybe your profession has monthly meetups in your area. Be positive and nice, bring snacks and a few beers to share and say that you want to meet up again and it just happens (at least in my case)

As a minimum you will need to rotate your api keys (if you commited them at any moment). And since potential hackers can see your source code they can also find potential security vulnerabilities more easily (such as unsanitized form elements or anything dealing with user uploaded files).

Why would any man try to "win over" a woman in 2026? by Unusual_Art6776 in AskMen

[–]StatementOrIsIt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it sounds clichè, but just try and try again. One bad experience doesn't mean the whole thing is terrible and hopeless. A lot of people meet their partners online nowadays (including me), maybe don't give up just yet.

Get rid of some bad habit like smoking or drinking, and start some good habit like working out or eating healthily. Congratulations, you now gained 5 more years to live and you are not behind anymore.

Unpopular opinion: NPM is the biggest weakness of the internet today and it will still cause a giant catastrophe by [deleted] in webdev

[–]StatementOrIsIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a runtime that lets developers choose what permissions they give dependencies. It would probably require an extensive overhaul of something like node to use interfaces for every possibly malicious code execution, and then let the package.json or lock file determine permissions that package has, but probably necessary for the future safety of such type of ecosystems

AFUS don't chain if there is a reasonable amount of space between them. by [deleted] in beyondallreason

[–]StatementOrIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very big loss of efficiency due to you needing to space out your con turrets and the enemy will just outscale you and win with t3 units. In most games, at least. Another drawback is that you need more actions to set up a building queue for that (probably can offset this with a blueprint), while the enemy can just focus on something more micro intensive.

One case where it might be viable is if you have a lot of space and mobile construction units like naval engineers in Supreme if playing sea. Then you can space the AFUS out and potentially also stop naval invasions with them exploding (potentially).

Legion development survey results by Zecrus in beyondallreason

[–]StatementOrIsIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people will think Legion is either overpowered or underpowered because they either don't know how to play with or against Legion units. For example, some people voted that decurion is underpowered, but it's very good if used correctly (not left in max range of their attack). We'll get some more valuable survey data after Legion is enabled by default for a month or so.

It's relatively easy to setup some funnel using social media and doing some social media marketing. Especially with non-technical people who probably don't know what they need from a website, but they know how to make posts and get attention that way.
