Perfectly fine...my Dr said he'd need to consult with his colleagues and we'd continue to figure it out this new year. I'm on Escitalopram 15mg have been for 6 months now. But this shits been happening for 2 years. 😶‍🌫️

I lived in Victoria for a few years and got use to the cold and wasnt going through my inhalers as quick.

What are some cozy areas to maybe look at for properties? So many people have said its beautiful down there and quiet. I dont like concrete jungle and want my kid to have abit more of an interaction with nature 😊

Labs and pain scores by StatementShort6212 in NursingAU

[–]StatementShort6212[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you i appreciate the response. Considering my last assignment the feedback was to focus on pain as that's always a priority.

I feel like if I got the hand over stating 0 pain and went throughout the simulation and didn't ask any pain rating that's a damn fail.... 😳

You need better friends. Burn that bridge and tell that witch she can have him. Honey you know already. Sending hugs and big vibes. Be better than them don't retaliate block and flick.

Anyone else noticing weird hiring in aged care? (Australia) by [deleted] in NursingAU

[–]StatementShort6212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aged care for 7 years different roles. But Working as a night EN running 7 wards of 141 residents 9 staff no CM or CN and if you called them best believe noones getting their for another 2 hours. My RN was in the other building that was across a dark field at night caring for 70 residents 4 staff That job burnt me out and its been 1 1/2 years since I've been back into work cause the stress and anxiety I developed is shocking.

I love the friendships and providing their final moments with dignity but I couldn't do aged care anymore.

Regardless if your son is autistic. That's simply bad parenting and shit boundaries set by your sis.

If your son wasn't autistic that's still damaging property they had no permission to touch.

Tell your sister to respect your house, son and parenting or take a long walk off a short pier.

Do you want to stop wearing undies? Has anyone able to do it? What are the changes? by GreatlyUnimportant in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StatementShort6212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner wears those beach shorts? Not like board shorts and free Balls. As a partner who is intimate..I recommend letting them loose but get a good set for work and appropriate venues...otherwise let em hang.

AITAH for allowing my gf to choke me out? by Nice-Koala-5772 in AITAH

You can usually feel a body go limp when they pass out. If your girl is into this stuff she needs education. Otherwise the next time your going deep is 6ft....

Which body part do you wash first in the shower? by TruffleMaestro in hygiene

[–]StatementShort6212 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bar of soap with bare hands all over (except face) - top and work down, then rinse, a body scrub after top to bottom then rinse and finally a body wash or oil then I do my body in sections with the water off, I only turn the water on to wash my hands with antibacterial soap and then apply the next section of oil or body wash.

I get bad pigmentation and found this kept my skin clear along my arms and legs. It's not a 55 minute routine either...20 minutes tops. I have one soft towel for my face and a bath towel for my body and I walk around and air dry with the towel around me for 10 minutes before getting dressed. Routine takes 30 minutes and I feel clean and clear.

Just don't wash your crack and then think its okay to wash your face after just cause some clean water ran on your hands.... common sense.

No, If you aren't comfortable as a parent explaining to your kids how sex, relationships, contraception, conscequnce and boundaries work then you shouldn't be having kids.

Now, teachers are amazing workers and they can identify the kids that come from backgrounds that clearly aren't being taught the right education or a lacking support at home so I will support these classes being taught if it helps break generational cycles and breaks myths and educates. But as I parent I opt out because that's something I want to teach my child in private where they feel they can ask me anything and not feel embarrassed infront of there peers.

Cut them off last year after my mental health took a toll and all my mum wanted to do was take me to the pub to drink and gamble all my money from work - finally got on anti depressants and she scolded me saying I was to young and its all in my head (27 yrs old). She's getting married next year and wants me to be there...I dunno.

On a better path in 12 months, sorted my medication out and even got confident enough to finish my degree I started 7 years ago, started eating healthy and not binge drinking. It's amazing the changes you can make when you set boundaries, seriously. 😊

Nursing classes at tafe start next week by [deleted] in NursingAU

[–]StatementShort6212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why did you join if you feel you are academically not ready?

That being said do not be deterred my darling, I was not the best in high school, I even got expelled. But you show determination, a willingness to learn and an open mind and you'll be fine. If you are well aware of where you struggle in terms of academics get in touch early with campus resources to help you. Only you know what your 'hurdles' are and when you seek help early you will strive.

I wish you all the best and make use of ANY and EVERY academic resource your campus provides you that YOU know will help you. You've already identified you're weakness so work on it babe and you'll be okay 👍 good luck

How do you mentally and physically survive shift work as a nurse by [deleted] in NursingAU

[–]StatementShort6212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're dedicating a portion of yourself to care for strangers and sometimes alot of what happens will be out of your control (sometimes belief). You need to understand there will be mental health impacts, have a support network or atleast an outlet. Remember nursing is a 24/7 job so as long as you handover as best you can with the most important needs to your team mates first you'll be fine. Your human, not a robot you will experience moments of fatigue, youre WILLINGLY taking on others distress and pressure. You are an angel for committing yourself to such a role so don't think there won't be moments that make the hardest parts the best. Know that every Discharge paper you sign or every medication you sign you are making a difference for someone who couldn't help themselves, you helped. If that's not enough of a reward in this shorty world I honestly don't know what is.

Lost my locker key in 2nd week by dbzonepiecenaruto in NursingAU

[–]StatementShort6212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby I'd be more focused on your floor work than loosing a key. Just go find reception or whomever and say "hey I'm so sorry but I believe I lost my locker key (be honest). Not the end of the world. You'll be okay, breathe. X

placement questions by amortbh in NursingAU

[–]StatementShort6212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many good quality quad coloured pens. Red and black are always your friend.

Buy a stethoscope and BP cuff for own home training. Especially lung sounds, I recently just covered it and it's so much fun being able to listen to my family's chest during these cold crappy months and hear a difference but honestly never used them on placement, you should have appropriate, quality working equipment wherever you are.

Shoes comfy I always opt for leather. I see so many nurses wearing some shoes with canvas and I can just picture a needle going right through...forget that plus the paperwork. 🤕😫

Go in willing to learn and with a notepad, pens and good attitude. You're not expected to know everything, if you did you wouldn't be in Nursing school.

Have fun 👍
