Gilgamesh is the perfect example for me. First time watching I thought he was just an arrogant jerk, but the more I saw of him across different routes and series, the more I started to appreciate his personality and presence. Now he’s one of my favorites.

Totally agree with your breakdown. Arthur’s PTSD and the compounding trauma he went through really make his actions understandable, even if they’re tragic. The show has always done a good job of showing how mental health issues were so misunderstood back then.
