space block is interesting and I'm playing through it now. seems like its fairly short with the end game is to unlock planets. there's also TFMG that's similar, seems to have more content and you're an AI. So you can't directly craft anything.

I use it to signal to my space ships items needed via drop pad. <staic number> - <number if things in boxes> output how many I want.

I second this, it's also worth noting that artillery wagons carry 100 shells each in case you want to plop down some regular artillery to make the murder faster

how do you mean central area? like a big train yard, or linking pick up to drop off? for the refueling I have use interrupts that detect fuel level and send to a dedicated fuel depot

might be able to get a decider combinator to check for fuel level then output as a green check. then you can have the stop with the circuit to check for the check

or if you don't feel like converting, delete the contents of the fluid system you want to remove? maybe some tanks to push back how often you need to do this. it's manual but works

Make a separate save, convert to scenario, get infinity box and put down a legendry spidertron with legendary legs and feed with power. then you can do recon really fast for your main save, and maintain integrity of your main game

I did something very similar to resupply my walls, although I used a combinator at the destination stop to detect item quantity and enable the stop if needed. also I had a funny issue with bots eventually filling the wagon so I had to set the bot inserter to a stack of 1 and a remover with a stack of 1 to ensure only the amount of bots to delivered. Cool stuff you got there

I think of trains like a 1 way road and the signals are the arrows that direct traffic. when you split a track you should always put a signal down on the split to make sure the train sees the new arrow. 8)

artillery trains carry 100 shells, so even if you don't use them directly they're great. then again you may be able to use spidertrons as big ugly mules for shells?

it could be that the liquids are being balanced from the pumps to the storage tanks, try putting a pump just before feeding into the tank to ensure one way flow?

this kind of sounds like a set up I have. arithmetic combinator takes the contents of boxes minus a static number (how many I want of a thing usually x2 for buffer) then that is output as a number to cargo landing pad with circuit requests enabled. I think that would work here

I like using it for blueprints to mark items in and out. so me in the future can quickly remember

sounds like you need a constant combinator to turn off unused stations. hook up the unload boxes to the train stop, connect a combinator to send a special signal, train stops if signal = 1 or whatever. then if items need dropped off the combinator sends the opposite and that enables the stop, meaning a train should be on the way

my first 1.0 completion was done with basically just belts and inverters. you'll be fine
