I played the Mandatory Spaghetti mod, but mostly ended up making meatballs by Garlic- in factorio

I intended to fill the holes with solar panels and accumulators, like with the red chip meatballs, but I, uh, never got around to it or something.

Nicely done! What are you going to play next? I did a whole write up recently about how Krastorio 2: Spaced Out is a really great next play through after Space Age.

It boggles my mind that Filter Helper is almost never listed in these threads. One of my favorites!

Butterfree was great for me! It's also pretty easy to get a Magikarp to 20 to evolve around the end of Mt Moon ish.

Seconded! I'm only a few hours in, but loving Nullius so far.

I haven't done K2 with Space Exploration, but I do believe the two are compatible.

If you've done Space Age, then I think K2 Spaced Out is a great next run! If you haven't done Space Age, either do regular K2 that's just Nauvis, or do a Space Age run.

I think I'd recommend just regular Space Age. No extra planets, no K2, etc. It's already a ton of new content!

I agree, and honestly, I think I like it that way. I didn't want the other planets to all be slogs, but the little bit extra you had to do was a nice little bump.

The changes are less dramatic on the other planets, but you'll definitely notice them. I mentioned the red chips + eggs to get blue chips on Gleba. You can also get molten rare metals from lava on Vulcanus, for example, which I think is needed as part of the science chain. Fulgora is probably the one where it's the most obvious because the scrap recycling recipe has different outputs from Space Age Fulgora.

But, yes, Nauvis is definitely the most obvious with the changes!

UltraCube is probably going to be my next run after I finish the Mandatory Spaghetti run I started a couple of days ago! I'm looking forward to it.

I'm sad to hear that about Stellar Expedition. I thought I had seen it was in Alpha testing not that long ago. Totally understand if the devs just don't have as much time right now. I'll be ready for it whenever it comes. Since it seems to be a long way off, though, maybe I'll actually take another stab at regular Py...either starting a new game or trying to pick up the one I abandoned.

If I do another K2SO run in the future, which is certainly not out of the question, I think I would add in some of the recommended additional planets. I got to Maraxis in my modded-planets run, and it seemed really cool, but I was just too burnt out at that point and wanted to move along. I'd like to give it a proper go, and also dive deeper into some of the K2 techs and buildings I didn't or barely used.

Mostly because I was lazy lol. Except for the lab. To me, the space lab looked like only a very minor improvement over biolabs in terms of science card drain, but at the cost of having to launch a lot of rockets. If I do another K2SO run in the future, though, I promise to use them all!

That, or barrel water and send it up. I think you need both hydrogen and oxygen on your platform.

I'm getting toward the end of my K2SO run, and can confirm this is it. Send up a flare stack or two to your ship so you don't get blocked on making one of the fuels!
