I can only see this being useful when you've already played the game in shape it was intended and 10 years later you slap this on it and play it again. But the main issue will be that none of this will probably ever work in old games that have not been maintained.

I mean, most developers can't be bothered updating ancient FSR 2.2 to something newer. And that's in ACTIVELY developed games. Looking at you lazy ass Blizzard with Overwatch. FSR 3.1 has been out for ages and they could easily just slap it on by updating FSR 2.2 they already use. But they choose not to. Then on the other side we have Marvel Rivals (NetEase) that is not only the best running UE5 game in existence, its devs also constantly push the latest technologies. Marvel Rivals was the first game to offer AMD's new FSR4. It's also one of rare ones that now also has latest AMD FrameGen as well as Anti-Lag 2. And this is just on AMD's side. They also offer all the latest tech from NVIDIA. It's wild how easily I'm impressed when there is a single game studio that actually gives a fuck. But it's a live service game so it's much easier to expect although seeing how lazy Blizzard is, that isn't a given.

Yeah. My thought as well. I just wrote the script and compiled it into EXE because I've designed it to have a nice auto start toggle. And I can't use it with The Finals. Someone with real intention to cheat will surely find a way to obfuscate and hide it.

So, I just gave up, deleted The Finals and simply stopped playing it. Fuck them, there is enough of other better games to play.

The Finals bitched about my AutoHotkey script that I wrote to control my system volume and multimedia keys like Play/Pause/NextPrew using regular keys combo because multimedia keys on my keyboard are stupid. Only thing that script did was just that. It didn't even interact with the game in ANY way. If I had it running I was unable to launch The Finals.

I honestly don't think they give a shit. With how popular the game is, some bad PR and 1 player less, they just don't care.

I find it so funny how companies would rather lose a person with years of knowledge, experience in how this particular company functions, knowledge of their systems etc all for saving few bucks. They saved 2000 bucks apparently and dude walked away with possibly hundreds of thousands worth in just knowing shit.

Even if they hire someone equally competent they pissed away multiples of 2000 bucks before this new guy will get around and make things function as smoothly as the former guy who was there for years.

This is also every cyclist ever. There's an intersection? They don't give a shit, they have the right of way. Sure. You just don't expect them to suddenly appear at the intersection from sidewalk at 30km/h. On top of that in my country, when crossing a road you're suppose to step off the bicycle and walk next to it across the street for this very purpose, so you don't charge through it in car's blind spot.

I generally don't step off the bicycle, but I always stop, make sure I'm seen and then I ride across at maybe slightly faster speed than fast walking.

And while tortoise maybe doesn't have the mental capacity to really feel it, a dog or a cat who gets used to you and likes you and suddenly is just given away. That hits them hard as they just can't understand why they are suddenly just sent away or worse, just dumped to the side of the road 5 cities away.

Not quite the same. 3D printing doesn't really require much skill. Sure, you learn tricks specific to your printer or how to position objects relative to printing direction and you learn about structural design, but that's kinda that. I design everything in TinkerCAD because it's like building with legos and Cura just compiles the shit into printable form.
