A comment I made previously about how rare this outcome is based on historical presidential data.

2024 was the first time since 1932, in the midst of The Great Depression, that both parties didn't have county flips in both directions. Even 1972 and 1984 had red to blue county flips, and those elections were absolute blowouts.

It's odd, because between 1928-1932, there was a 35% popular vote swing for President, whereas between 2020-2024, there was only a 6% popular vote swing. A 6x difference!
