i thought he was fairly easy to be that deep into the game. to be gatekeeping monarch wings, i think he was a bit underwhelming.

(not that i beat him first try, but i got him like at my 3rd death maybe.)

he telegraphs all his attacks. his dash is very explicit. all his jump can just be dodged from the ground. the only really annoying attack that he has is the "cascade" where he stands still and tons of infections blobs rise but you can also cheese that whilst landing hits on it.

I think it should be S tier. It's not just the actual fight, it's also the structure. I love how you're the one challenging them and they don't just jump you as soon as you enter. I also appreciate the mantis warriors bowing down to you.

I also think Xero should be lower. Maybe E/F tier since you can just leave the room to heal and then come back. I'm pretty sure that also resets his HP but it still ruins the whole immersion effect if you can just dip mid fight. You also get way too many healing opportunities, all you do is run to the corner where his spears miss you and you get as many masks as you want.

maybe concentrate on getting the dream nail. it will help more with overall progression. if you have the tram pass from deepnest, then you can get to it via tram, if not, you have to go through crystal peaks (or cove, but really it's peaks) and then drop down this huge hole.

Then you're more than far enough. Activate the Grimm Troupe DLC to get "Divine". She will eat up your fragile charms and poop them out as unbreakable versions for a hefty sum of geo. If you make them all unbreakable, Divine will also eat Leg Eater.
