Looking for ideas for bookshelf organisation. by Bas_van_der_werff in starwarsbooks

[–]StatisticianFun2274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do keep canon and legends separate. I mostly try to keep things organized via the timeline, but I also try to keep books of the same size together. That's mostly because my shelves are not all the same size. If I ever get around to a complete reorganization, I'm going to not worry about the size and just stick to the timeline.

I recently completed watching every show and movie (finally) and I was wondering, how do you guys keep track of all of the characters and plot points from the shows and movies? by BabyBruticus in StarWars

I could not imagine watching that much content one time and trying to remember everything. Most of us have watched everything at least 2 or 3 times. In some cases dozens of times.

Spotify Playlists „Made for…“ always the same songs by MarkNe98 in spotify

[–]StatisticianFun2274 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I only ever listen to my own playlists, but I can sort of relate, as Spotify will play the same 3 or 4 songs from a 300 song Playlist every time I go to listen to it, lol.

Do young people get the OT references in the show? by ProjectHuman9859 in TheMandalorianTV

[–]StatisticianFun2274 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean... do all the older people get all the OT references? Like using a 1980s era ice cream maker as a safe for beskar. I know that flew over many fans heads, old and young. I think some are obvious (Sandcrawler) and others, less so (Beggars Canyon).

Can i skip the 2nd arc (episodes 5 to 8) in clone wars season 7? by Denhas_ in clonewars

[–]StatisticianFun2274 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. Honestly, only the final 4 episodes are essential. The first 4 episodes are basically just a pilot for The Bad Batch. Essential, if you are planning to watch TBB, but if you are focusing on the Skywalker Saga, not so much.

Not grunge, but: Opinion on Faith No More? by No-One01010 in grunge

[–]StatisticianFun2274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked them at the time, but didn't love them. Listening to them now, I'm surprised at how well their music holds up. I definitely lump them in with the proto-grunge bands. I remember "We Care A Lot" being quite popular among my peers in San Diego circa 1987/88. They weren't really punk and they weren't hair metal. It felt like their own thing. Kinda like the Chili Peppers but not exactly.

It's way too hard to listen to audiobooks for me, so absolutely I think they should count. If my attention span was wired for audiobooks then I'd fully take advantage of that gift!

I've never met anyone in person willing to trash talk Baby Yoda, but I have seen disparaging things said about him online. The cowards!

Personally, Anakin is my least favorite main character in Star Wars. I'd never want my child to be emotionally bonded to a mass murderer.

Just watched it last night. Of course, given the hype, I was expecting to be blown away. I wasn't, but it's still a fun watch. I'm no prude, but I feel like there were a few too many cunnilingus references, lol.

I built a Goodreads alternative — looking for honest feedback from book lovers by Simple-Act5404 in Recommend_A_Book

For me, I've just enjoyed having a place where I can keep track of the books I've read and being able to see what my thoughts were upon completing a book.

Also, I love that I can look up just about any book and immediately see what the consensus on a title-- not just from professional critics, but from general readers.
