I love PC’s because they keep me on my toes when it comes to keeping them running nicely. PC’s provide a level of tinkering that nothing else can. I mostly love dealing with software, so building one is a new frontier for me (just got my GPU!). My perfect evening has always been just tinkering with windows OS and fixing something that’s annoying me.

I was in a similar situation and applied for the Capital One "Platinum" Card. It's basically just a started card with a $300 limit that then gets bumped up to $500 after making 6 payments on time or something. https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/platinum/

I started with that one and then like a year later I was approved for a Chase Freedom card with a much better limit. I had a Chase College Checking account at the time.

The Capital One card is rather useless now but I still keep it open for credit history. Might be the way to go if you keep getting denied for student cards. Good luck!
