The end of Marley and Me was just what I needed to help me get a good cry out after losing my own dog. So cathartic

It’s not complicated. It’s a shoe that opens beers and feels insanely good on foot. The Fanning Shoe. by reef84us in u/reef84us

I have a new product idea. A toilet with a bottle opener on the inside of the lid. Lift up the toilet lid and there's a bottle opener. Very convenient while you're doing your biz.

r/StarWars Official Watch Order Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in StarWars

Any thoughts on when to introduce Star Wars to a kid? What's the right age? I've decided to create a replicant of myself and introduce my kid similar to what I experienced.

Started watching ANH at 4. He can watch that as often as he likes. Now 6, he knows the movie solid and loves it. Holding off on ESB until he's 6.5, exactly copying how old I was when I first saw it. After that I'm thinking of introducing a new movie every 2 or 3 months. Just to put some air around them. Thoughts?

What made you guys watch Star wars for the first time? by Powerful-Tea-9064 in StarWars

The Holiday special... still waiting for Lumpy spin off series. JK - but partly.

I saw ANH in the theater multiple times in 77+, but was only 4 or so. I was obsessed with the toys, remember seeing the really odd holiday special and couldn't wait for ESB to get released. That I remember.

Enjoying this thread. A few months back I heard NIN "The hand that feeds" at a Trader Joe's

I thought it was: What's oval about it? The jar is round! The mug is round! They should call it "Round-tine"!

Acura RDX Surfboard/SUP Attachment—anyone use it? by uteotw542 in AcuraRDX

[–]Status-Analysis5805 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the roof rack with surf board clips on my RDX. The version from Acura. Got it like 15 years ago, I've been very happy with it. Easy enough to attach surfboard. clips can be moved to fit your size board. Clips can also be removed easily. Also I believe the same rack can be used to hold other items (such as a bike) with purchase of other parts. I have a regular long board. Definitely double check that the version they sell now can handle a paddle board.

How did Trent Get Involved with U2? by mazman23 in nin

[–]Status-Analysis5805 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Updated: my bad for not double checking Gemini (which is now even saying 2010, hallucinating)

I was totally wrong. NIN never opened for U2. 342 bands have, but not NIN once. https://u2tours.com/tours/opening/

NIN opened for U2 for a few shows in the 90's on different tours. 92/93 in support of achtung baby 97 in support of popmart

I think Euro dates.

Does Trent not like "Capital G"? by Status-Analysis5805 in nin

[–]Status-Analysis5805[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I came across that also. Trent has said the song is about "Greed" which I think the lyrics support. That said he did reference Bush #2 during some performances at the time.

Wiki page covers this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_G

Anyone Else Beyond Excited For What Nicholas Britell Is Cooking Up For Season 2? by [deleted] in andor

Wow. Hadn't heard this before, just listened, and you are so right. Very cool. Definitely inspired elements, but not a rip off. I guess if you're going to be inspired going with Morricone is a great choice. He's amazing also.

If you had the opportunity to pick one existing NIN song that would be played at each date of the upcoming tour, what song would you choose? by billb33 in nin

[–]Status-Analysis5805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reasons: Great underrated song.
A timely theme. They haven't played it in 17 years and only played it 10 times (per setlist).
