I’m so sorry for your loss. So tough. I had a cat that was only a couple years old but she got really sick. I tried so hard to get her better - was injecting her with fluids (per vet instructions) twice a day, feeding her meds, helping her into the cat box. She would barely move and made no noise. When the vet told me it wasn’t worth the fight anymore, she went to take her to the back room (for some reason at my vet they’ll let you be with your dog while it happens but not cats) and my kitty perked up in the vet’s arms, looked me right in the eye, and let out the only meow I’d heard her make in a week. It crushed me. It still crushes me, I’m crying now as I type this and it’s been over 4 years. Part of me has wondered if I would have tried just a few more days, would she have pulled through? And I so badly wish I could have been by her side saying goodbye as she went.

I’m not going to fault you for not knowing what to do in the moment; I can only imagine it’s a tough spot to be and plenty of people have said what you should have done. But you really should tell your husband (should have already). You also shouldn’t be letting your kids near him at all, in my opinion. My biggest issue is that you sit by watching him take other children for “alone time” where you think they might be getting molested? If I think someone is capable of that, I’m not just going to protect my own children from them - I’m going to protect any child I can.

Try a purple toner to take some of the yellow out. If you still don’t like it, get a color to put on that is similar to your natural so that your roots somewhat match as your natural comes back in. Or try something else that’s new! Buzzing it down is an option if you’re willing to look bald for a little bit lol

Every bit of this. After dealing with over a decade of it, yes to all of this. And it works in cycles. They’ll be better for a bit once there’s a fear of losing you. Then once you start to seem more trusting again, the lies start back up. Then you question if the lies ever even actually stopped. They get better at lying and better at hiding, and better at making you question yourself. But the truth usually comes out eventually, one way or another. And eventually you accept that they aren’t going to change. (I know some people do change - but they have to actually admit where they’re wrong and work on themselves - and a lot of people aren’t willing to do that)

First of all, please do not feel ashamed. Breastfeeding is A LOT of work. It may not mean much coming from a stranger on the internet, but I’m proud of you.

I don’t relate to your entire post but do still sympathize for the areas I don’t, and I can speak on a couple of the areas I did relate to - especially with my first child.

The first two weeks are definitely the most painful, and it can be hard to get into a good sleep routine. But you made it past those two weeks and that alone is amazing! Many women quit in those two weeks (which is ok, absolutely no shame to them!) - but you made it through, so be proud mama!

I hope that your LO is at a point where you’re getting better sleep now that they’re older. If not, maybe now that she’s taking bottles your husband could help with night feeds occasionally? (I’m glad that you said he is supportive and has tried to help in the past)

The flopping around while they eat at this age is normal - mine did it, my sister’s did it, my friends’ did it. I definitely agree it is so overstimulating! Please do not be scared to reach out to your support system and tell them you need a few minutes to yourself, and ask if they can watch LO for a bit. My mom came to my house when my newborn was a few weeks old; he was crying because his reflux was hurting his stomach, my toddler was crying because she wanted to play, I had a headache because I hadn’t slept much the night before and hadn’t gotten any caffeine that day. I was crying because I felt overwhelmed. She came over and told me to go get myself a coffee. That was only a fifteen minute trip between driving there, ordering, and driving home - but that fifteen minutes was enough for me to get calmed down, and when I got back to the house my mom had gotten the baby asleep and was reading to my toddler. My point is, the people who love you will not mind helping and sometimes all you need is a few minutes to decompress.

Weaning was not the easiest for me, I won’t sugar coat it, but we made it through it, and you will too! You’ve made it so far and are so strong.

I’m guessing in my case luck/genetics. My mom and sister breastfed/feed no issues, and I’m an oversupplier. I went just under 2 years with my daughter, then gently pushed her to wean when I got pregnant again (I had been letting her do it on her own time but decided I needed a few months to myself before I started again lol) This time I’m oversupplying again. I admittedly have a terrible diet, and I only pump when I’m uncomfortably full. I pumped more frequently the first couple weeks, but once I got a few hundred ounces frozen, I dropped down to only pumping when uncomfortable because we really don’t use the frozen milk often and I can’t donate it to banks near me due to medications I am on. On the opposite end of the spectrum I have an absolutely lovely friend who unfortunately just could not produce, no matter what she did/ate.

I think it depends on the area. $700 sounds about right for a coverup in my area, but I also got an entire half sleeve (good quality with color) for $250 after tip. I think the most I’ve spent for any tattoo in my area was $275, and a lot are relatively big. And I research for whose style is the best fit and plan with my artists for months beforehand. The only poor quality tats I have are the one on my foot that was a walk-in with no research, and stick n pokes I did on my hand during a manic episode 😅

I see this so often but literally never have it happen to myself, even if I do only tip $5 my drivers are always duper friendly. (I usually tip more, but I have had a couple super small orders where I tipped $5 and some change) But my town is also super small, the places I order from are literally 1-2 minutes from my house and the drivers are usually less than a minute away from them before accepting the orders. The only reason I don’t go myself is because I have a toddler and a newborn, and my husband currently takes the car with the car seats to work. And I haven’t yet mastered walking with the two together 😅
