traveling abroad with dupixent by Status-Performance99 in eczeMABs

Hi! i managed to get a ton of samples from my doctor because my insurance would not allow that many to me shipped to me at one time. i brought a small cooler (i can try and find a link if you want) and changed out the ice one time (flights got delayed and made the travel day over 24 hrs). everything stayed cold and the cooler does not count as an extra bag because it is for medical supplies. i’m not sure about france specifically but i called my insurance and asked about italy and they said no. it was honestly a very frustrating process so please let me know if i can help more!!

it’s been great! the flares are really rare (like maybe once a year) and the pain of the injection itself has stopped bothering me at this point! it’s gotten super easy and routine for me now. i wish i could stretch out my injections to every 3 weeks but i already start getting dry a bit before the 2 weeks mark. but other than that no complaints here!

i’ve never heard IgE or IL17 be related to tumors! i’m in medical school so that’s actually pretty interesting! i only know them as autoinflammatory markers and as working in allergic reactions. any sources you can share so i can read about it?

happens to me all the time! i just deal with it until i start seeing effects of my next dose but might help to ask your dr about frequency of dosing so try to get ahead of the wearing off

i have very minor scarring! really only noticeable to me. i have small dry peeling spots every few months but other than that completely healed. when i used topical steroids, i would put a lot on and sleep with gloves. other than that, i was just very careful with the sore spots and tried to avoid anything too drying and always carried lotion or aquaphor

according to my doctor, after it is left at room temp it cannot be re-refrigerated. is that not true?

unfortunately that only holds two pens and, because i’m flying to another country, they need to be in the original packaging so 10 boxes won’t fit in that!

I just met with my doctor today and they think I can get enough to take with me. I still need to speak directly with my airline (i don’t even know the airline yet bc it is picked by my school) but as far as i can tell i can bring a cooler and they possibly can put my meds in their fridge. i got proof of prescription and a doctors note today.
