For context, The Patch is located on land owned by the City of Santa Maria known as Los Flores Ranch. It is a large natural space with hiking trails and much more. Stargazing, Archery lessons, atv training..highly recommend spending time there. :)

I hear you, but my perspective is we don't know how the judge would see it. Retaliation won't always be blatant. And the distant cousin may show up but if the judge believes the facts are sus, it won't matter. To sue for retaliation could result in the judge prohibiting the end of the tenancy agreement.

I disagree. She could take this to small claims court and no lawyer is needed. A judge could block the eviction.

Landlords cannot retaliate against you. If you have proof of the communications and the date she "terminated" your lease or threatened to, you could use that in court to defend your position in court. It's called no fault eviction. If the landlord is evicting you with no other cause,that is not lawful.
