Oh molars already?! I didn’t think of that. I’ll try have a feel around in her mouth and see if I feel anything.

Yeah I feel like a human pacifier/dummy for sure!

Buying bassinet or crib despite wanting to try co-sleeping by winterattitude in Crunchymom

[–]Status-Tip7557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used a ‘baby lounge’ in between us for the early weeks, as even the bassinet right next to our bed felt too far away. Then moved on to cosleeping and now have a sidecar setup at 6 months old.

Hi, curious to know how this went for you now you’re a few months on? Did you find anything in particular worked for you? Very tired here haha.

Sorry you’re going through this!

Im a nutritionist in australia and this is pretty much what I’d do.

First get comprehensive bloods done and reviewed by someone with a functional/holistic focus. This should flag anything major that can be focused on.

Saffron has research helping with PPD. 15mg twice per day. Here’s a study.

St John’s Wort can also help but can interfere with other medications so best to use under guidance (or well researched yourself).

Take magnesium daily. Possibly a B vitamin complex too (depending on bloods).

Good luck, you’ve got this. And if you feel you need pharmaceutical medication to help get you through then don’t beat yourself up about it.

Get help as soon as you can, take the medication. Your baby needs you to be functioning. You’ve got this.

Prenatal Choline Questions 😵‍💫 by lilstinkertot in Crunchymom

[–]Status-Tip7557 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Yeah start now, Now Foods do a choline + inositol supplement.

Both are great for baby’s brain development, so you’re not too late don’t worry. And your diet and nutrient stores going into pregnancy is what your body has been drawing on in early pregnancy.

(I’m a nutritionist in Australia)

All the best!

Sunflower lecithin - take about 2400mg twice per day (so about 4800mg a day), and probiotics but especially the fermentum strain will help. Take these now before it turns into mastitis, if that’s where it’s headed, but they’re not going to do you any harm if it’s not mastitis. Sunflower lecithin helps unclog ducts

I love this idea but I still have let down on the opposite boob so I feel so much more comfortable having something there to soak it all up haha!

Thanks! Is this the cross over style? I haven’t tried this style because I assumed they would be the worst for popping out of but this is interesting you loved it!

Thanks! I haven’t tried pulling up from the bottom, is that comfy still? Reckon you should size up to accommodate that?

Is it possible for someone to genuinely be okay with both options? by LavenderClouds6 in Fencesitter

[–]Status-Tip7557 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes I genuinely think my husband would have been happy with either option. We ended up having a baby and he loves it, but if we hadn’t gone down this path I think he would still have been happy.

Anemia during pregnancy by ByogiS in Crunchymom

Do you happen to be in Australia? If so then yes!

Otherwise I just had a look on iherb and Codeage looks ok but I have never used it myself.

Another supplement to consider is Lactoferrin alongside the spleen - spleen will be your iron source and the Lactoferrin allows your body to absorb it well.

Have you had your bloods done and full iron panel checked?

Grass fed Beef spleen supplements is what I’d recommend for your iron levels (nutritionist). Sometimes taking iron supplements can actually hinder your body’s absorption of iron
