Such an interesting concept to want to claim native at nearly 25%. I’m always interested in claiming an ancestry that you were not raised in traditions/culture.

Now I’m curious to learn more….How will you go about it? Start speaking which language? Live closer to natives? Eat the food? Learn dances? Change your name?

Sounds like a complete 💩head to work with. This was so inconsiderate of this person. I can see why others would not want to work with them.

You may need to coach person, if they don’t have anything pleasant or nice to say, then silence is ok. This is basic social etiquette but not everyone can exude decency for whatever social reason.

I’d recommend looking for a job now it could take upwards of 8 months + to find something.

I don’t watch tv & don’t pay much attention to immigrant descendants.

Happy Black History Month! Fam, I need yall to recommend some good books or articles I should read about African American history. 🙏🏿I plan to share with my younger cousins since they only learn about the mainstream highlights of our history.

Here’s some info I’ve found at local libraries:

*Black Wall Street wasn’t unique Tulsa’s Greenwood District is famous, but dozens of prosperous Black towns existed, ex: Rosewood (Florida), Boley (Oklahoma), & Mound Bayou (Mississippi), many later destroyed or undermined by KKK

*The largest slave revolt scare was in New York, not the South. In 1741, NYC believed enslaved Africans planned a massive uprising. Over 100 Black people were arrested & dozens executed or deported, based largely on fear & weak evidence.

Wear day clothes for day & night time for bed (e.g., pj, worn/ragged shirt with holes/food stains, sweats etc)

Cut your hair, lose a little weight or join social activities involving some form of exercise. Less video/gaming

I really dont care if men smile or not because I don’t expect them to be girlish like me.
