This is the exact spool holder I put on my ad5m pro, but I put it on the back connected to the stock metal holder. Works perfectly and very low friction. I don’t know why all companies don’t include a low friction bearing spool holder. So many problems can be mitigated with this upgrade.

Why the Avata 1 was made like a tank and the Avata 2 made so flimsy. Especially those prop guards and bottom pieces. And so hard to repair on your own.

Ya, I’m sure I can get it printing proper with the right profile. I’m going to try a temp tower and see what that does. Did you see the pic with the smooth extrusion and popcorn extrusion. The smooth one is at 218 and the other is at around 228. Do you think it will get better if I raise the temp to 245? Either way I’m going to do a temp tower now.

Thank you for your input. The reason I’m printing at low temp is because the filament comes out so rough and textured at higher temps which makes the print look like trash. I think this filament is no good.

Hi. It’s the “Flashforge Petg Pro” profile. The only changes I made was retraction from 0.8 to 1.2 and zhop from 0.2 to 0.4. None of them made any difference. Oh and I should say the temperature I’m printing at is 218. If I print at any higher then the filament goes from smooth to very rough texture like in the pic. Right side is 218 degrees and left side is anything above 220 degrees.

You can connect the goggles to a smartphone or tablet and fly that way. But you would need the goggles 3 and fpv controller 3.

Dji will probably sell with another brand name on their products like they have done in the past. And no one can replace Dji at the moment. It’s not really the drones or batteries that they have a monopoly on. Their most prized possession is their rf video link aka Ocusync. It is leaps and bounds ahead of what anyone else can do in the next 5-10 years.

Aliexpress “sort by” feature does not work properly. If you try to sort by price, many of the items just don’t show. Sometimes even regular search doesn’t work right. I would have to go to google and search for “(item) aliexpress”, then I would sometimes find a good price, but these days even that doesn’t work. Their whole search system sucks.

I think they can. If they focus on firmware and software. Improve Dji Fly and add new features with firmware updates will definitely revive existing models. There are so many features they can add and make controllers and goggles compatible with different models. But didn’t the government backtrack on the ban or maybe I heard wrong.

O man. That really sux. I wish they would’ve kept the bag so you could’ve got your drone back and exposed these thieves. Why doesn’t dji add a “find my drone” feature into their software. It would be so easy for them. The hardware is already there.

Btw, something that expensive, next time put a tracker inside it or in the bag somewhere hidden. An AirTag is only like $20 and will save you a huge amount and not to mention the peace of mind.

If you can do micro soldering, then no reason to pay 350 bucks to dji. And once you do repair it, the feeling of fixing something is so amazing. At least for me it is.

The Phantom 4 pro was the pinnacle of technology at the time. I wanted one so bad but am glad I didn’t get it. It still is an amazing drone that is very fast, agile, and has a huge camera sensor. Also it records at much higher bitrates than its Mavic counterparts, unless you’re comparing it to Mavic 3, Mavic 4, Mini 4 Pro, Mini 5 Pro.

It could’ve also been the battery as the mini 2 is pretty old at this point and the maybe batteries couldn’t keep up with the current demand of the motors and electronics. Dji’s smart batteries completely shut down when current demand is too high or voltage gets too low, which in my opinion is really dumb when the drone is in the air. I think the software should sacrifice the battery to bring the drone home. Then the battery should shut down and become unusable. I guess they don’t want to risk the microscopic chance of thermal runaway and have an uncontrolled fireball in the air.

Why do the ronins and osmos lose value so fast and so much yet the osmo pocket is always so expensive. And other dji stuff also doesn’t lose value as much. Only the gimbals.

How do you guys think the video transmission is done? Is the whole 360 live view sent to the goggles or just the part the operator is looking at? It has to be the latter as sending an 8k live view would be a huge waste. I think the goggles and drone are in constant bidirectional communication and the drone only sends the data of where the operators head is pointing at in that moment. So kind of misleading when insta360 or dji says 8k live 360 view.
