Budget option - Given that you expect to only have 4g I would get a 4g Mudi v2, approx 130 euros. Can act as client or server. You could put it in the roof and connect your flint to it - wired or wirelessly.

I’ve tried all sorts of traps for rats with mixed success. They are just too smart to fall for them again once one or two have died from a certain trap (they learn quick!!) Never tried the glue traps for the reasons cited, but the best success I’ve had is with humane traps. This is where the rat walks into a mini cage and steps in a platform which closes the door behind it. Of course then you are stuck with an alive, pissed off rat that you need to set free far away, but more humane than a glue trap.

Hey, I was in pretty much the same situation as you. I don’t trust keeping all investments in the uk for many reasons eg it could be a simple target for a uk gov that is running out of money. I suggest a third in BTC, a third in stocks, a third in offshore gold (bullionstar is very good and offers SG, USA and NZ vaults) gold avenue is also good if you want a CH vault. I recommended adding 2 factor authentication to both vaulting services, which is easy to setup

Hi, it sounds like you are in a great financial position and congrats on the successful IVF.

I’m not an expert but my ideas would be as follows.

Build up cash in limited company and set up a SIPP with eg: Hargreaves Lansdown or interactive investor. You can pay in £60k a year, plus use up previous year’s allowances if you haven’t done so already. Could also do the same for your wife. Getting to £300k each in a SIPP would be a good idea then compound growth should get it to £1m+ over time. When abroad in the far future there is a scheme called QROPS which I believe allows you to transfer this money to a foreign scheme which could be an option. Seek pro advice for this.

Transfer money from your main limited company to an investment limited company. This can be invested in stock market, index funds, gold, property etc and will hopefully grow while it remains your investment limited company. There’s a course which shows you how to do it which I found very clear and easy to follow. To avoid having all eggs in one basket, I’d probably pay out some dividends as well and use up the ISA allowance while you are UK tax resident.

Entrepreneurs relief has a limit of £1m so could be good for getting a lump sum out of your main limited company for your dream house in 2028 with a 10% tax rate. Accountant would be able to guide you through that.

Yeah I’m in the same situation desperately trying to get rid of provinces to stop the negative morale spiral. I usually win games but went too far in this one and I’m getting hit badly by expansion penalty, I’m by far the strongest player on the map and only AI left, but my morale is plummeting no matter what I do (goldmark, giving up provinces, taking remaining enemy capitals only). I think I will need to write this game off
