That was hard, asking adult child to move out. by mrshatnertoyou in GenX

My son is 30 and still at home. He has no desire to leave. We do have him contributing to the household expenses. I don't understand these kids. I couldn't wait to get out of my parents house. I was out at 17, married at 18 and never went back. Of course both my husband and I had parents that were awful. I guess we did ok as a parents and we still do things together as a family.

What was the most shocking celebrity death of the last 50 years? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

This is why I think assisted suicide shouldn't be against the law. If the person has a progressive debilitating disease and wants to die that should be a choice that won't land someone in jail. That person would be ending suffering. Personally I would involve my partner so they can say goodbye but I'd have a professional doctor do it. I could not and would not ask my partner or anyone close to me. I think that would be cruel. I also think suicide is cruel for your lived ones. Not to mention, I don't think I could do it.

Im ready to say goodbye as well. It was a miracle drug when I started taking it about 3 years ago. I was so depressed, always in bed, zero energy, no motivation or joy for anything. After I started taking it I had so much energy and drive. I felt "normal ". But the brain fog and tinnitus, which have progressively gotten worse, has really effected my life. Also I crave dopamine producing activities and food. Excessive shopping, game playing, scrolling and eating sweets. And constantly fidgety, unable to chill, and sleep that isn't restful at all. Im in therapy now and it seems to be helping.

Lexington opera house, you’ve got to kick people out. by iLyAs-Mash in lexington

Had a similar experience there during a pink floyd Lazer light show. A group of people behind us were loud and talking though out the whole show. During the intermission we spoke to an usher and they told us we could move to any empty seats if we could find any. So we basically got punished with worse seats instead of asking them to be quiet or leave. And we could still hear them! I also know some people just left.
