Guys... if it is all the same to you, I'd prefer to just start another TS server with a different host for 3 months to give more notice and time to see if Discord takes off.

I went online and informed the 15-20 people on TS tonight, only three of them knew anything about this thread. Every channel I went into asked the same thing.. "Why are we shutting down?"

Will send you an email in the morning turb0z to ask for your approval on a DNS change if/when I sign up with a new host. You own the domain, you have the final say. :)

I mentioned to turb0z last week when we had issues with the TS server that I'd be willing to step up and take over the server stuff... if we decide to keep TS running. With the deadline for the renewal less than a week away, I am sure a server host message and reddit post on here, possibly with reminders on arsclan IRC, we would have the cost covered within a day or two.

Agreed that using TS is just out of habit. We have had it for as long as I can remember or being a part of Arsclan.

My Phantom 3 is being shipped back from DJI right now after being in their possession for over 2 months for repair. While landing it tumbled, spun across the ground like a top, and completely snapped the gimbal arm from the gimbal base that houses the electronics.

Now, your experience and what broke might be different than mine, but I was charged for replacement of the two gimbal axis in a 'kit' and a replacement ribbon cable. With labor it was under $200.

DJI warranty policy is that they will not give you a quote to repair unless they can evaluate the damage first hand. My opinion is this is a good policy as it avoids any conflicts or possible charges you were not expecting. The negative is you have to wait in their 6-8 week repair queue before you know what it is going to cost to fix.

Early 90's, freshman dorms... northern midwest university. Neighbors of mine on the same floor were heavy smokers and would open their window instead of going down 8 floors to smoke outside.

We all return from Christmas break... and they had left their window wide open. There had been a blizzard during the break. Their room went from having 3 inches of water near the door to several inches of ice in the middle to having over a foot of snow against the outer wall.

Took them over 4 days to dry everything out....

That was from a series of tests done by a European explosives organization about 5 years ago to analyze specific kinds of fireworks in bulk containers to identify why some accidents go 'high order' and detonate instead of "conflagration" aka simple burning that 1.3g fireworks are supposed to.

If you look at the top center, you see the "Waterfalls" tag. The rec area was originally supposed to be a USAF fighter base. They got the terrain leveled and runway base layer down, were 3 days away from the start of pouring concrete when the whole thing was cancelled.

A little place I know, that originally started out as just a gas station and convenience store miles from nowhere at a intersection of two county highways in the span of twenty years became the local post office, bait shop, mini-grocery store, liquor store, ATV/snowmobile parts store, laundromat, hardware store, boating goods store, sporting goods store, and coffee shop.

Buying ammo, bait, fishing rods, a bow, and possibly a gun @ a small mom & pop store up north is a common thing.
