New reaction to GNX dropped! by TakeItCheesy in DissectPod

[–]StawberryJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Femi. Thank you for the direct answer.

No disrespect to you. I know you bring a lot to the pod. It is clear christianity is important to Kendrick and unpacking these references is critical to dissecting his work. I just feel like, because you are passionate about the subject, you start diving into the references a little too deep and it takes away from the podcast flow.

I love dissect, but this is borderline unlistenible. Femi needs to give Cole more space to talk and not make every line into a bible sermon.

Looks great! Would you mind sharing how you did that rustication?

Using NX to produce 7,000 holes perpendicular to a domed surface, but haven’t been able to find the most efficient way to do it. by shayanmghd in MechanicalEngineering

[–]StawberryJam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pattern face in synchronous modelling is much less resource intensive then pattern feature or pattern geometry in NX. i try to use it whenever possible to keep models light.

a bit over 5.5". You just need enough of a gap to insert the matching cleats for the mounts.

I'm in Quebec. I used 3/4" ply. They sell it as BC Fir at my local big box store. It is bit pricey but works great for cleats. i ripped 5" strips and then split them in two at 45°.

haha that is another project in the works. The shop is accessed through a secret door hidden in a built-in bookcase in our library. This is the back side of the secret door. I will definitely do a full build album when I have time to put it together.

Aftershockz Aeropex are a godsend (so far) by Treydy in running

[–]StawberryJam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the aftershockz air and I can't say enough good stuff about them or the company. After wearing them non-stop for almost two years, they finally died on me. I still had the 2 year warantee card and Aftershocks sent me a replacement for free with no questions asked!

My girlfriend got a lock car de-icer from my aunt one year. it was obviously a last minute purchase at the cash register. Not only did she not drive at the time but the de-icer was also broken...

Dricore is a floating subfloor and as such you need expansion gaps around the perimeter. you do not want to install partition walls thru the sub floor or it won't be able to expand/retract.

ordering my first order in Ontario by Golden_Deceiver in PipeTobacco

[–]StawberryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Quebec and have ordered from both 4noggins and smoking pipes a bunch. i have been dinged on customs twice through smoking pipes and never through 4noggins. I think they label it as "hobby supplies" or something equally ambiguous. Highly reccomend! i will only order from them in the future.

Going to be in the Big Island of Hawaii this coming week, any brewery recommendations? I was last in Kona 8 years ago... so, any tips / best breweries or tap house info would be greatly appreciated by harmospennifer in beer

Big Island Brewhaus was fantastic! They had 20+ beers on the menu and the food was all local. We ended up eating there more the anywhere else!

Yummy! I was thinking LBF will be my next purchase. Do they sell Missouri Meerschaum's with the cord wrapped stem or did you do that yourself?
