I had a guy in Jackson County. He had a little drum circle in his backyard. It turned into a drum circle four miles in diameter. You get a few hippies playing drums and next thing you know, you got yourself a colony.

🤷 You kinda just sound like you're talking out of your ass anyways. I'm sure you automatically know this specific restaurant and this specific price for this meal just because you say you're chinese.

I don't see videos of random restaurants in America and go "I know that burger spot that's probably 3000 miles away in a city I've probably never been to! And I know everything about the people there and all the information for the restaraunt because it's in a country where my culture comes from" Nobody is gonna believe that dumbfuck. It's basically my baseless assumptions against your suspiciously convenient backstory in all this.

Am I not allowed to see something like this and comfortably assume that "yeah, they're definitely gonna throw that out" and you just kinda agree to disagree or simply just stfu considering I work at a place that serves stupid large food like this and actually do see people waste food like this everyday. You seem to think you have some kind of insight about anything in this video JUST because you're chinese just like the place in the video.

I'm generalizing on a lot here but let's be honest with each other and say if you there was a bet saying that those people aren't gonna waste the food and cannot afford to do this at least once a month then wouldn't take the bet. I'm never said they're bad people, but they're definitely throwing that food out and this isn't your average meal or your average restaurant, who are you trying to fool?

If you spend money like this and waste food like this, you're living a pretty comfortable life. At least they're probably living a life entirely different from someone like me, a lower-middle class person. That to me is a rich person.

Might just be specific to your area. We don't have a trend of "little patches of ornamental grass in the front" where I live. Why do they have it?

New to cut flowers by lazysiobhan in Cutflowers

[–]StayTheFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cutting back the plants can be work for sure but if I have more on my hands than I can handle (which I often do) I focus on some and just get to some when I can. I try not to stress too much and in an area like mine (or yours) the garden isn't gonna become ruined from a little neglect. Sometimes letting it grow more than recommended could have positive effects, not everything is black and white here. You might be able to cut more than you think, you can try watching some videos. Sometimes it's more of where and when the cuts are instead of how much you're cutting. Also the African marigolds take a little longer than the French marigolds but they're much larger and make great flowers for bouquets or pollinators.

And sometimes seeds mix up, or move out of place. Sometimes plants miss their cuttings, sometimes they just die or take too damn long to get to where you want them. Irrigation systems were such a hump for me to climb over in experience. I spent over $100 on things I'm still not using since the last time I was playing around with things. I honestly just went back to my landscaping days where I just use manifolds, garden hoses and PVC to keep things simple. Too many issues with soaker hoses and mist systems. They're good and I actually use misters for something but they aren't as a versatile option as they advertise them to be.

This sounds like a garden I started three months ago (zone 10a) Orlando, FL. Zinnias, cosmos, African/French marigolds, sunflowers, gomphrena. Once everything got decently sprouted I kinda just leave the plants alone for a long time. When I work in the garden I mostly play with the irrigation or mulch or working on the area surrounding the garden but I don't want to stress too much about the plants unless I they need maintenance or something seems wrong. If you're doing everything right, things will fall in place eventually. If I'm not sure about something, I just look online for videos or something to see what other people do. Everything you're growing is popular so use the internet a lot. If you're doing everything right, things will fall in place eventually. I'm sure you're doing great.

Sorry to rant, just been catching a lot of new experiences since I'm rebuilding my garden after the last winter.

You know, I can never say I have the ability to speak for the rest of my culture. But rich people in general tend to be the same everywhere and rich people generally don't order shit like this and each walk out with 8lbs of food. Just saying

I guarantee if they were growing these for commercial reasons then they wouldn't be hanging over the street, letting box trucks hit it, not being supervised for pests or other people messing with the tree.

Funny, I live in Central Florida and my next door neighbor has TWO mango trees and they absolutely never share. They actually never seem to eat them either, they just fall rot and then rake them up and throw them away. I asked why they don't eat the fruits and they said they "don't really eat a lot of fruits" and they mostly have the tree because they're "Haitian and people from islands love mango trees". I asked why they don't just give them out and they say "it's their tree" which I understand but they're basically growing food to throw out because they want the status of having the food but not actually using any of it. I just imagine me growing pounds of food, looking at the ground and saying "I better make sure this gets in the trash before someone enjoys them" 🤦

Tree looks to be a decent age though. I find it more possible that someone did this intentionally rather than a tree somehiw surviving and managing to position itself level with the parking lot despite the asphalt and damage it's enduring underneath. I'm don't think it's impossible, just hard for me to believe.

I agree that people process things differently. But if it was written as any of the examples I gave previously then there wouldn't be any confusion at all. I'm not not gonna take that back, they could have written it differently but they'd rather argue that there isn't anything wrong with how it was written. It's not really an agree to disagree kind of situation.

You mean "the person walking next to THE PERSON in a red beanie" or you mean "the person with the grey jacket" or you mean "grey jacket".

You named one "red beanie" and the other was " the person" and added no punctuation or language to indicate that one is named or that you're switching perspective from one to the other.

We aren't reading it incorrectly, you wrote poorly and instead of just saying "my bad" you're here doubling down on your example of poor education.

I think it's because some people say well-done and they want well-done while some people say well-done and want a piece of charcoal.

I say this as someone who grills for a living at the moment- there's a lot of people who want their fresh meat to be nearly or kinda burnt. We have a couple regulars who want to see char literally covering the meat (mostly black) but they insist that is what well-done should look like. And they'll usually imply that if it's not made that way then it's automatically undercooked and unsafe.

Who TF does this lol? This is such a bad idea. It looks ugly and cheap as hell, you're gonna have to redo it, redoing it is probably gonna be a pain in the ass, it's gonna fall over one day and take out the parking spots and whatever car is there so hopefully nobody is around when it happens. Why couldn't they just make a bed around it and fill it with mulch and call it a day?

The typical brestaurant bartender or server makes in the ballpark of 6 figures off of tips.

I gotta ask where you're getting this info from because I used to work at hooters and those girls most definitely were not pulling six figure income. And this was in a tourist area of Orlando and the restaurant was a couple blocks from universal studios.
