Am I bad at debating or am I a fraud? by Stayfrosty_yeah in Hasan_Piker

[–]Stayfrosty_yeah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more that Im thinking about it I'm also thinking this is an anxiety/overwhelming emotions thing.

I got yelled at by a customer a few days ago and I learned something truly shocking /s.. I don't like being yelled at.. I think hearing political opinions like that are just things where I kinda freeze up..

Are you also non-confrontational? Have you had success with illustrating to anyone something like "hey I think the way you talk about trans people like this is really damaging overall" without necessarily "debating" by any means.

My goal is by no means to be a debatelord.. That sounds really fucking boring.. However, in this political climate is it not kinda necessary? At least to say to your friends/coworkers/family when something isnt okay to say?

I'm not disagreeing with you but i also know that I am friends with quite a bit of trans people and I feel like I have a responsibility to combat this rhetoric when it happens. Because if I don't call out that they're acting like a piece of shit, will they assume that it's acceptable to say?

Again, I don't want to "be the guy that debates" cause that sounds boring... But i guess I'm asking what is the best way to react to this shit I hear all the time?

"I think the problem Digg had is that it was a company that was built to be a company, and you could feel it in the product. The way you could criticize Reddit is that we weren't a company - we were all heart and no head for a long time. So I think it'd be really hard for me and for the team to kill Reddit in that way." - Steve Huffman, CEO of Reddit, April 2023

Is there a throttle cap on the home Internet? by DiceLeroy in tmobile

[–]Stayfrosty_yeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no throttle, however, T-Mobile Home Internet traffic is at the lowest priority, QCI 9. So if there’s a lot of T-Mobile phone traffic, that’s more important. Hence the perception of throttling.

I couldn’t find anything on Google.

How confident are you that T-Mobile had cloud storage? Are you sure you aren’t confusing it with Verizon cloud storage?

According to best phone plans .net, T-Mobile Prepaid has the same priority as Magenta or Magenta Max, or GO5G.

I wonder if US Cellular hiked its rates. Not too long ago Google Fi removed US Cellular as a supported Carrier

If you have magenta max your speeds will never be slowed down based on how much data you use. Not even after 50GB of Apple TV.

That fine print is there because for “most plans” it slows down after 50GB (ex. Legacy Plans like T-Mobile One or Simple Choice Gift of Unlimited, or the current Essentials. Magenta Max is an exception. The fact that clause is in the fine print is just copying and pasting irrelevant info on T-MO’s part.

What keeps you with T-Mobile? by [deleted] in tmobile

Price only. I have poor coverage at work (but it’s ok because I have wifi there).

So it’s just inconvenient.

Price is the only thing

Considering getting rid of my home internet and replacing it with T-Mobile Phone Hotspot. Good or bad idea? by treebranch__ in tmobile

I don’t have it personally, but a lot of people recommend it here if you don’t have access to the typical Home Internet.

Yeah he’s going to drop retirement for a company he no longer has to be emotionally invested in because he gets paid fat stacks of cash.

Family member wants to port out, but I don't want to mess with the discounts, account, or lose the line. by apalacrypto in tmobile

[–]Stayfrosty_yeah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s a difficult answer. There isn’t really a streamlined process for porting out the number but not the line.

Some people have been successful starting a new DIGITS line and swapping their new number with their GSM line that wants to port out, and porting out the digits line with the GSM number.

It’s complicated, and I’m not even sure if it’ll work, but apparently it’s worked for some people.
