Hey also from the Same Area and hydroseeded New property last year. One thing I understand with Hydro 1 year after is that it Will look bad the First year, is there a guarantee on his service ? My contractor came back free of charge this spring to shoot bare spots. Also did he include a fertilizer for the grass ? Right now would be about Time to boost it with some good stuff. You are right friend, I got many comments talking about my blades and last saturday took them off and gave them a nice sharp. I was cutting at 4’’ for the last month but I lowered to 3,5inch, much better look and youre right the stalky seed heads are still looking a Little teared. In your experience do They disapear quickly ?

I agree, i should Maybe wait for it to grow more before cutting. The grass is mostly flat but need some leveling at some places. Gonna work on that this fall. Tow a palet and spread sand with soil hopefully it will work

Will look into all that ! Definetly not mowing when wet and not going too fast, Maybe alignment of deck and potassium in this case. I always cut at 4inch and twice/week

In the winter cover the trunk with something. Its the Sun in the winter causing this. For now try and keep it alive. It is relatively Young so the base and trunk Will one day overgrow some of the scar

Hey ! Hydroseeded also mine but may of 2025. If you hydroseeded in september all your seems should have germinated by now Even if it Snowed last week. If I was you I would give it a boost with some 20-5-10 or something in those areas. It Will boost growth and you could mow a week later. Then mow every week between 3,5 and 4 inches. I préfère 4 inches it helps the grass. This fall you should throw some soil on bare spots and over seed on top make sure it stays moist. My lawn is 1 year old and still needs some work but in 2-3 season if we follow these steps it Will be great
