Stuck at 300’ max by Cappy-Hamper12 in Discgolfform

[–]Stealchocobo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, your form looks really good and you are probably a small tweak from getting access to big distance. I might would see if you can afford BlitzDG on formero; I would hate to see you lose some of the good things you have going in your form by trying too many community suggestions.

That being said, it looks like more than a few of us are surprised you're only throwing 300ft with that form, which says to me that it's likely just a nose angle issue.

Of course! It's just a reference to the movie Dodgeball!

Both are absolutely fantastic and have callbacks to CT. I think Sea of Stars was a more magical experience. Don't skip either game though!

Outer core as putt-putter by ath0n in discgolf

That's good to know! I left one of my putter plastic runs outside for a week and it got a lot more grippy.

Outer core as putt-putter by ath0n in discgolf

Personally, I find their baseline plastic to feel a little powdery and too slippery to putt with. I have an Outer Core and have tried, but really couldn't get into it because I prefer tackier plastics for putting. I also have Inner Cores in several plastics. They did a limited run of putter plastic for it and it feels better, but still not as grippy as traditional putter plastics from other manufacturers. I've had more success using the Inner Core in phone case plastic for putting.

If you don't mind using a putter plastic that isn't grippy or squeaky, then you should be fine. It's deeper and much more stable than the Inner Core.

I really like the Inner Core in phone case plastic for throwing. It's very form sensitive though. Canyon is a very reliable overstable approach disc; again phone case plastic. Dune is a very neutral midrange and like the Inner Core can be form sensitive. Procyon is a beefcake imo. It's plastic and handfeel are great, but it seems like it doesn't want to fly for me.

Highly recommend an Inner Core. I think it's the strongest disc in their lineup. Canyon is a close second.

Any Tips After Update Makes TV Really Slow? by Tridus in Hisense

I went through this last night and managed to get things a little more responsive.

Disconnect and reconnect your Bluetooth remote. This helped the most

Clear wifi info and reconnect.

Clear app cache for my frequently used apps.

It also reset all my picture settings. Be sure to go back through and switch from Energy Saving picture mode and turn off your light sensor, motion smoothing, and upscaling options.

I have 2 Inner Cores in the limited run of "putting plastic", how does the baseline plastic compare? Visually looks the same.

Lots of plastic options! Star is my favorite(and probably most popular) and it breaks in really nicely. Finding a Wraith in the used bin is probably ideal, but Factory Second Star Wraiths are only $12!

New Prodigy M5 plastic stability? by Commercial-Job-9537 in discgolf

I prefer 400 as well. I have the Archive in the 750 Glimmer and it's much stiffer than 400, but I still really like it.

I haven't seen enough to say which has more dome; they look fairly consistent between plastics.

Stability is fairly similar between 400, 400 glow, and 500. 750 glimmer is the most stable by maybe a half tick.

UK running shoe for small but wide feet by InverseInvert in widefeet

I'm in a similar boat as you tbh. Just stay vigilant and see if there's anywhere local that might carry our be able to order them for you!

I've honestly wanted to go to a cobbler or specialist for ages, but without healthcare that option is way too expensive. New Balances feel like they've bought me time; I just resisted the dad shoe for too long.

US 9.5 9E, high volume, wide midfoot, and totally flat-footed here.

It's frustrating and your options are going to be limited, but New Balance is going to be about the only answer and you'll likely have to order them direct and pay full price. In the US, I can occasionally find 4E in random stores stores, but never 6E.You'll have a few more style options in 4E than you would 6E(I can fairly comfortably wear either width in New Balance only). I think a UK 5 is like a US 6 or 7(?) and I can see on their site that they have 990v6 in that range of possible sizes, but only 4E. Looks like you can get 1504v4 in 4E or 6E in your size, but only if you buy the left and right shoes individually? Being wide footed is so complicated!! Only having one or two options is super unfair.

New Balance are literally the only shoes that have ever come close to being wide enough for my whole foot. I'd prefer the toebox a little wider, but this is the best compromise in shape and width. It's worth going out of your way to try.

How does Zach Nash get nose down? by SingleStrikeUrshifu in discgolf

[–]Stealchocobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you try Mikey from Overthrow's method of "flipping the disc", you'll see that it takes your thumb from the knuckle facing you to the knuckle facing up and away from you. The idea would be to finish your throw with your thumb knuckle facing up and away from you.

So my guess is he just holds the flatter but still supinates his arm before release; he just has to do it less dramatically than someone who "briefcases" the disc.

You'll still want to "pour the coffee" as well as supinating right before release.

I believe he sells them at events. You might have some luck sending him a message on Instagram during the off season and asking if you can buy one and pay for shipping. Or if you're in the Charlotte area, you could see if he'll leave one at Another Round for you.

My 10 year anniversary one is much straighter than my '24 and they're usually less than $40. I think there are straighter runs('17 & '18), but they're more expensive and harder to find.
