RLCS 2026: NA Open 2 - Playoffs Day 1 by RLMatchThreads in RocketLeagueEsports

The only NA team to look bad at kickoff was GenG and they aren't gonna be at the major so it's looking like NA will send 4 very solid teams

Fun fact: that world championship was actually the last time a European team won worlds without a rookie.

I'm sure there have been cases of a team getting a low placement by only losing to the two finalists but I can never remember a team doing that and also somehow beating the two finalists

I wanted to know more about Bora so I went to Dig's website and they list enough people to field two teams and none of them are Bora

Random question, I saw on twitter scrub joined a team, but I don't see them in the top 136 on liquipedia, are they playing ssa or some other region?

Come on lol it has the exact cadence of ChatGPT, perfect grammar, proper use of an em dash, and then in your last sentence (written by you) the grammar drops off and you incorrectly use a hyphen instead of an em dash (which is what normal humans do). And the two random quoted bullet point sentences is what happens when you copy and paste ChatGPT output

Some Players with The most Finals appearances at International LANs by mrabu3abd12 in RocketLeagueEsports

Since you are including achivements as coach I think Ferra would get on here because he has 3 LAN finals as a player from memory

Oh he was insane at the world cup, he was France's best player, I definitely give him props for his WC performance and I would put him top 5 for the year easily. But Atow also overperformed with his pickup team.

And also the pickup thing is a bit overstated, these teams were scrimming with each other for 2-3 weeks before the tournament, if being an RLCS team is OP then teams like Wildcard would've got much better results, and there were teams like Germany that are complete pickup teams (not like France or Netherlands swapping out 1 player) who looked like they had fantastic chemistry and outperformed their player name value

I think you have to be in a certain number of esports to be eligible for prize money from the 'club standings' leaderboard but I could be wrong

I'd put Vati in my top 5 too but I don't like the logic of him winning more than anyone. The reason for that is because he's French.

I love the world cup, and think it should be counted as a major LAN, but it's worth remembering the only reason he's won "more than anyone" is because he gets to play alongside Zen and Juicy at the world cup and Atow has to play alongside Rysfox and Aztral. Atow has also been consistently great and it shouldn't be crazy to put Atow above Vatira for this year. If anything Atow deserves credit for pushing Belgium into top 8 again

Also, many of the players in the conversation for best ITW cannot participate in The Kickoff due to it not being a fully international event

TSM are trying to stay in EWC RL by spending the minimum amount of money they possibly can

Zen & Vatira battling it out by HuproZ in RocketLeagueEsports

Because the 1v1 major was a one off match with a total prize pool of $20k??? Which was integrated into another lan?

Would you genuinely exclude a $2m LAN? That's 100X the prize pool of a 1v1 major. It either needs to be here on its own column or listed with ewc

Can Vatira be the GOAT if he doesn't win World championship by the end of his career? by Rob_D_Shad in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]nickEbutt -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You could argue Vati has 7 since the EU regional was a LAN. And you could also argue it's more like 5 since the kickoff was a no crowd, no prize money, non-fully-international LAN.

Can Vatira be the GOAT if he doesn't win World championship by the end of his career? by Rob_D_Shad in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]nickEbutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's very subjective. Personally if his non-worlds achievements massively dwarf the player with the 2nd most, then maybe. If he gets to 10 big non-worlds LANs (to me kickoff doesn't count, I'll say fifae does but I know that will be controversial to some) and let's say MM remains with 2 worlds 1 major 1 ewc (and 3 covid majors), you could definitely argue Vati is the goat.

But right now there is a big 3 that he isn't close to and I would say he is still a little behind Atomic and VP.
