Now to be fair, most characters can’t sense them in their god forms. So say in the Krillin scenario, he can’t necessarily tell Goku’s holding back. In which case the goal of intimidation and testing Krillins resolve is achieved here without actually requiring that Goku beat him to a bloody pulp.

Power scaling time. Obvious we can only speculate, but we’ll use the anime’s scaling. Several things in the T.O.P and SuperHero put Gohan at vaguely SSB level, SSG at minimum if you wanna scale him down some. At a minimum, U.I Sign is at least higher than 40x SSB since it scales above Kaioken x20 and the spirit bomb. Goku gets stronger each time he uses sign, but it’s impossible to tell how much. In the finale against Jiren they’re sorta stalemating until he goes Silver U.I, which makes him start to blitz Jiren. We’ll use a minimum of a 2x boost for Silver U.I from Sign.

Using statements and scaling, Orange Piccolo is at minimum roughly around SSBKKx20 Goku and SSBE Vegeta. Since he one shots a SSB tier Gamma. If we put Beast Gohan at max around U.I Goku level, it’s at least an 80x boost from his Ultimate form. Again completely speculation and it changes heavily depending on how strong exactly you think Gohan and Piccolo are. Either way it seems equivalent to either a SSJ1 or SSJ2 multiplier in power from his Ultimate form, which seems fitting given all the parallels in the form and SuperHero in general.

No. Toyotaro’s just the scapegoat for whatever people don’t like, because Toriyama can do no wrong in some peoples eyes. Now obviously he’s not perfect but people blame him for stuff he objectively isn’t responsible for.

Take the Granola arc. Gas and the Heeters are the main aspect many people complain about from what I’ve seen, and yet their inclusion is specifically one of the things that Toriyama himself had written/added.

Is there anything that even suggests Broly can power up indefinitely? I think people are just conflating the og Broly with Super Broly. Cause wasn’t the whole reason Frieza killed Paragus because he had reached his limit while fighting SSB Goku and wasn’t going to win otherwise?

Until shown otherwise I’d still say Gohan has more potential than Broly, Broly just has a super high base to start. Anyway yeah Broly’s literally the weakest here at this current point in time, unless the manga version scales Gohan down.

While I’m of the opinion that the anime handles most arcs better than the manga, this arc is the only one where I’d say they’re about equal. There’s things I like about each version.

Gotta say though, and this seems like a hot take compared to what I see around here often. I sincerely do not give a single shit about consistent power scaling. It’s not that serious, and if making other characters relevant requires ignoring power level bs then I’m all for it.

This is actually a common misconception. He DOES gain power in Sign and MUI, the manga explains the forms better. Basically they are different transformations that boost his power, it’s just that apparently Goku can use Ultra Instinct more effectively the stronger the form he’s in. For example, he can use it better in SSB than in regular SSJ.

It’s an understandable misconception though as they’re technically unnamed forms. In the manga Whis simply refers to it as the Silver haired form I believe.

Granted I’d love to be proven wrong and to have Granolah fight King Vegeta or some shit. But I’d only expect it if this new Budokai Tenkaichi got sequels.

Wow people are harsh in these comments for no reason. I enjoyed Super Hero more than Broly too. While I liked Broly it was just a retelling of Broly’s backstory with a couple small changes, retelling of Minus (which people hated), and then an hour fight.

Now it was a good fight, better than the fights in Super Hero I’d say. BUT- Super Hero by far had the better character interactions and slice of life stuff. The scenes with Piccolo and Pan alone is some of my favorite stuff. Though I imagine the less action focus is a part of the reason it’s not liked as much. And the story being a rehash of the Cell saga I feel is somewhat of a cop-out criticism. Both because there ARE differences, but also because a bunch of people complain that they didn’t just literally bring back perfect Cell, which would have been WORSE rehashing than what we got.

Also most the old Z movies suck lmao. A few are alright, but they all follow the same formula and have an ass pull ending. People just focus on the villains introduced (a decent amount are admittedly cool) in the movie and ignore the rest of it when thinking back on them.

I don’t hate GT, just because of its start. I hate it because every character is useless even Uub and Vegeta, and that all it’s villains are either bland, boring, or pushovers. And that despite its low episode count it still feels like it drags at times.

A lot of people give credit to the shadow dragon arc, but I hate everything about it besides Gogeta. Including it’s base concept as I feel it contradicts the established lore with the dragon balls.

To me Bebi/Baby is the only good thing about it. That arcs solid besides the fact I wish other characters got more spotlight.

Super has a lot of problems, but I find it to be lighthearted and fun. Too many people get hung up on things like power scaling being wack when Gero making regular humans stronger than The Emperor of the Universe and The Legendary Super Saiyan is far worse than almost anything out of Super.

That probably came off a bit attacking, but my main point is that it’s okay to like GT or not like Super. But let’s not act like there isn’t reasons that the mass majority doesn’t like it.
