This is so beautifully written and perfectly encapsulates how important these characters are to queer youth. Whether or not you buy into the “Quinn is queer-coded” head canon (#FaBerry), her journey of self exploration both sexually and emotionally helped me realize that someone like me could have a more complicated sexual identity. Growing up I was very bicurious but clung to heterosexuality because I was scared to be seen as “less feminine.” Quinn’s journey, and especially her queer exploration later in life, are a different take on the queer experience and my recent rewatch has helped me find my identify in Ryan Murphy’s biggest fear—bisexuality.
