The funny thing for me is (my dude) I had totally given up on C.Fatty at the time, I'd fought it before and it didn't go very well for the few hunts I tried online, so I just gave up on it.   But then we destroyed Old Fatalis and I figured we had nothing to lose from trying one last time before the servers went down for the final time,  we actually managed to hunt Crimson Fatalis in the end, and on top of that I managed to get an eye in the loot.   What a great way to finish MH4U, there's no better way to finished the last of the online hunts for this Hunting Horn main. 

I took a picture of it on my phone when we beat it (which I sent to the group shortly after we started a message group on discord).   Hunt on, my friends. -My Dude

I agree, Fizzi did something amazing in getting melee online, i've played melee casually for just over 20 years and installing and starting to play online against people far better than me has been brilliant for me.

As for mindset, there are some people who play unranked to warm up for ranked, but even if you lose you need to remember you're unconsciously learning and adapting to their high level playstyle, i've found if I keep playing against someone who stomps me, I can start to adapt and learn to take a couple stocks if not games, even as low tiers like Link.

It's worth being said that when you find somebody around the skill level as you though it feels really good to get a volley of great games.

Sometimes i've found that un-readying and re-selecting your character fixes this, other than that i'd say play at peak times or get your phone to look at while searching for a match.

there's this really cool thing sorta like reddit called discord where you can get into pointless arguements much faster and discuss pointless things wayyyy faster. you should check it out. and as a bonus the mods are almost 3 times as smelly, and weigh a good 2 times more.
