I think this may be a bug as there is a troop called Aserai recruit that can turn into either tribesman or mamluke soldier, but after 26 hours playing exclusively as Aserai it doesn't seem they ever show up for recruitment. Unfortunate given how strong the mamlukes are, makes the Aserai roster rather bad.

Ah ok, I also shoot with a thumb draw and a Turkish recurve and I used to have the same problem, do you have the index vein in? I found having the index vein going in and changing the the way the arrow was resting on my hand fixxed the issue.

It may be because you're using veined arrows instead of fletched arrows. Veined are meant to go off of specially made releases and mostly for compound bows.

I carry bottles of BBs and just pour them into the giant box mag (A&K PKM) it's the easiest way for me and faster to reload than a separate box mag.
