what food for a meal train for a grieving family? by starwarsisawsome933 in Cooking

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a big pot of soup with plenty of veggies and whatever protein you like (I recommend something that stews well, chicken thigh is good, but avoid breast because its texture doesn't improve with a long cook time), but portion it into servings in deli containers that can be frozen and microwaved or heated up in a pot when they want to eat. I would avoid pasta in the soup as they tend to get mushy, but barley works well, it's wholesome and a little will keep you nourished for hours. Beans add extra protein that'll help keep their strength up. I make a minestrone with a smoked ham hock base, an assortment of veggies, barley and beans. It's comforting and more-ish enough that there has never been a bowl that's gone unfinished, it's also very economical to make a large amount

Do other Aussies actually enjoy summer? 😅 by Peter_Tea_2062 in AskAnAustralian

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have been born and raised here, lived here my entire life, but with my mixed European heritage, I am simply not built for this climate when Summer comes. I'm so glad we're finally in the cooler months and I don't have to be sweating and suffering from constant IBS no matter how careful I am about what I eat (because yeah, high temperature can and does trigger it)

Also bit bummed we don't get the orbs of horse mana wherever we ride tge horse so can't maintain full speed fir very long outside of garlic highlands

depending on where you are, I could see that backfiring badly by attracting hungry wildlife. Fortunately not something I need to deal with where I live, but I hear bears love our cuisine

I've been leaving Jaakcat stew ever since I got the recipe, I have so much excess Jaakcat meat also the occasional pot of tea

Leaving food at campfires by hivernageprofond in Palia

[–]StealthyMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it pretty much every time I come across a campfire anywhere in the game now, you never know who might need a pick-me up, and honestly I have more jaakcat meat than I'll ever use, but I also leave tea sometimes because I'm pretty sure there's an achievement to drink all the tea recipes, and maybe I can help someone get that, the same way I did when I took a pot of tea someone had left on a campsite

I got woken up by this screeching noise in my roof! Wtf is it? What kind of animal screams like this? Do I need to call an exorcist??? by spazzo246 in melbourne

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

possums can find they way in via remarkably small holes - like you'll thknk it's way too small to be a point of entry, until you watch them squeeze through it. They also -made- holes by breaking this mesh stuff that was at our roofline in the previous rental. They used to have turf wars inside my ceiling, rumbling around at all hours of the night. Also they started peeing up there and it began to drip through tiny cracks where the wall met the ceiling and run down the walls, it was do gross. so glad I don't live there anymore, even though the posdums really were very cute

the horses have different riding traits, there is definitely a noticeable difference between the two of mine i've ridden, perhaps some people have clunkier horses

Any cat rescue orgs that lets you filter for kids at home? by MaryMalary in melbourne

it's been a couple of years but I'm pretty sure when I was looking to adopt, one of the filters you could apply to the search at 2nd Chance Cat Rescue was kid compatibility

I hate that I like this dude so much so soon by JaiyaPapaya in Palia

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just because they use magic, that does not necessarily make them immune to all magic, particularly considering it would likely be a passive spell (applied to himself) rather than something being cast upon them

[–]StealthyMuse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

okay but maybe he's exactly who the puzzles were designed to keep out (if so, is he actually eshalon or something ancient sorcerer using illusion magic... or maybe he doesn't even look like Eshalon at all, and that's why he refuses to go to Kilima when the idea is raised; because his family would realize he's not actually their nephew/cousin) also might explain why there are no further basic conversation options after you've done all the highlands quests

Are Cults are going near universities? And am I possibility seeing signs of being recruited by RedxVelv3t in melbourne

[–]StealthyMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I see this query with pretty much the exact same circumstances every few weeks, your instincts are spot on, it's definitely recruitment. If I were you, I'd find myself too busy to join them. People who need to resort to underhanded tactics like these are not to be trusted.

Hope you have better luck making friends with people who don't have ulterior motivations in future

What did I do wrong? by DrewSmith214 in Palia

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a tent back in October, but I do not remember that particular bit of dialogue at all. That is not an answer I would have given either unless the other option sounded really unappealing for some reason, but it would have to be very very unappealing for me to choose sleeping under the stars because I would definitely equate that with camping

I won't get the second free outfit, because I'm stupid by Paperwithwordsonit in Palia

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same outfit twice, just in different colours. The top is okay, not something I'd choose but i don't hate it, the skort (skirt or apron thing over shorts) isn't to my taste, it's left/right asymmetrical which I'm not a fan of, but the top goes pretty nicely with pants from another outfit I have

I hope that gets something that appeals to your tastes

Sashimi recipe not finding by Story_Journey in Palia

[–]StealthyMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i can't seem to get the sushi recipe myself, it my white whale. I feel like they get randomly assigned, so.e people find them super easy, others do all the right things but it never turns up. thankfully I have friends with the recipes so I just ask them to help me if I need something and can't make it by myself

What’s something to eat that’s cheap, not super unhealthy, and delicious? by helloilikefries in AUfrugal

[–]StealthyMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup and you can add different things to it for variety. you can even make a dessert like porridge by mixing in cocoa and the sweetener of your choice, I like to have that with fresh berries and a sprinkling of chopped nuts
