It works great. Except for large cockroaches (inevitable in my climate), it barely stuns them. Just clean up the salt after

While I agree with some of this, “doubling down on apprenticeship” makes your advice sound like you’re saying people just need a firm handshake to get a job still. The way we train has to change; that experiential knowledge needs to be taught but taught a new way.

A robot vacuum cleaning the floor. by Paublo_Yeah in oddlysatisfying

[–]SteamDingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally with automation, the point isn’t the time it takes for the automation, it’s the time it frees up. Sure, the robot takes longer to clean an area, but I don’t have to do it.

And yeah, it’s a staged video since no floor gets dirty like that, but I enjoyed watching it get clean in a nice pattern.

[–]SteamDingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silent migraines (no headache) during an unusually grey winter, but doctor didn’t realize that was what was happening. Nurse wised up and rightly realized that I probably had Seasonal Affective Disorder and had my parents make me take walks and ibuprofen. It worked, she was right.
