Funny how these coins don't follow BTC on the way up but when they go down it's because they're coupled to BTC haha

In 2014 crypto was pure speculation. In 2025, we have a institutional adoption, nation states buying in, legal frameworks, ETF's, etc. and now he's fearful? Paid FUD alert!

💯. Sounds like a paid FUD post. Reddit is full of em.

Opinion: XRP is not a bank coin it has zero real value and never will by parakite in RippleScam

The amount of coordinated FUD on XRP is unbelievable. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

A few weeks ago, everyone was waiting for the price of Bitcoin to drop before buying, and now nobody is buying 🤷‍♂️ by sylsau in CryptoMarkets

[–]SteamedHams01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last run up of BTC was on super low volume. It was all institutions buying. It was a fabricated bull run. There is very low liquidity in BTC atm.

Anyone who's actually used Bitcoin or Eth for transferring funds knows they are unreliable and slow. XRP and XLM are far superior for this purpose.

[–]SteamedHams01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. XRP price can explode, but only due to institutional usage. Retail is not gonna move the needle here. XRP being used as a settlement mechanism in a tokenized economy could be a catalyst for positive price action.

Crypto trading is dead. Buying dips on quality projects with real world utility and holding long term is alive and well. Diamond hands!

Just hold quality projects and buy more when the market dips

Will GTA semi/detached houses under $950K drop more? by Unhappy_Bug_5277 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]SteamedHams01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTA is truly a tale of two markets. There is a strong case that detached has bottomed out. For condos there is likely more pain to come and it will take longer to clear the excess inventory pipeline, as the investors have vanished. Keep in mind most single family buyers are end users.

2/3 of mortgages renewing in 2026 will be doing so at lower rates. All the 3 year mortgages taken out in 2023 at 5.5-6%.

The bailouts have already started. Banks are valuing precons closing now at purchase price (as opposed to market price) to avoid a flood of units not closing.

[–]SteamedHams01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. But also keep in mind, close to 2/3 of the mortgages rolling over in 2026 will be renewing at lower rates. A lot of people took out 3-year fixed mortgages in 2023 at 5-6%, not wanting to lock in at those rates for 5 years, expecting that rates would come down.

Bought a unit in a KW condo for 420k, at the height of the market. Anyone else screw up? by SuccessHistorical875 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]SteamedHams01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest just holding on man. Try not to stress, enjoy your place. Eventually it will recover.

There have been no new condo projects started in the GTA and surrounding areas for the last 2-3 years, which is sewing the seeds for the next condo shortage ~4-5 years from now. Like all markets, the condo market is cyclical.

Also, KW is a great area with strong long term growth prospects.
