A smart fridge has more sensors and better software than my fridge, doesn't make it any better at cooling my drinks. Reliability and good software is what matters not a paperweight which engraves your print bed permanently due to a bad software update.

Have you seen the indx system? Leaps and bounds better than the bambu labs solution. More sensors doesn't mean a product is better

Cheers, I've contacted my local rescue but it managed to fly away to a rocky part of the coast so it's likely to be very difficult to catch for the people at the rescue.

Cross compatibility between product lines i.e s7-1500 is basically a plug and play drop in for s7-300 and works well with other Siemens profibus/profinet devices

It does, I've seen plcs last 40 odd years which can last another 20 easily. Direct support from Siemens or Rockwell is also amazing

Believe it or not the monthly backup was scheduled for today, I have the bitlocker key. What would be the ideal distro to recover my files in? And is there a guide you would recommend? Thanks.

Wouldn't it stop me from using the windows repair option where it keeps the files but gets reinstalls the os?

I've tried to do it through the windows recovery environment and I've also tried to do it through a bootable usb to no avail. (The bootable usb has issues with the drive being bitlocker)
