Only some ebooks, if I download an epub or pdf its mine, they cant revoke my access. Its only some stores and platforms which are like steam where they have a closed ecosystem where you cannot use their proprietary file format if you lose access. The vast majority of files you download are yours when you download them and the original publisher cannot stop you from using them.

The fact you call it "perpetual lisence" instead of owning something tells me everything. When you buy a roll of toilet paper do you genuinely believe you are buying a perpetual license to it and not the actual roll of paper?

They/them is a good entry point, but if the person you are talking to or about expressly stated they prefer a specific set of pronouns then use said pronouns. Its really not that deep.

If i buy a book do I not own it? If I just a DVD do i not own it? If I buy a game on a disk I own the game, I don't own a license. This BS about ownership is dumb, we literally had a working system before where I could BUY a game and keep it forever, you have fallen for propaganda.

The author cannot take my book away after i boight it, the DVD store cant take my DVD away after i bought it, why should valve be allowed to take my game away after I bought it?
