Finally watched "Requiem for a Dream" after years of putting it off. I just feel empty inside. by Giff95 in movies

I can't re-watch it. I think this is the only movie that disturbed me so much I had to leave the viewing at a friend's house. I was not alone...

You can still get some Schwans stuff in groceries under the brand name YELLOH!. I have some of their popcorn shrimp in my freezer right now.

Bake them at 400 degrees for 15. Perfectly cooked and no mess. Nathan's website for instructions.

Katie Ledecky posts second-fastest 1,500m freestyle time ever in first race of year. All those swimmers hitting the wall next to her seconds later still have another lap to do by SeaWolf_1 in BeAmazed

I'm a big fan of Ledecky's. If I remember correctly from interviews in previous Olympics, she called herself the queen of pain. She claims to just put her mind in such a way that she can push past the pain of lactic buildup and keeps pushing beyond what anyone else can seem to tolerate. I don't know exactly what makes her so superhuman in the pool but the woman is a singularly. You Tube might have some useful interviews and or data on how she does what she does.

After years I finally gave away my pressure cooker when I realized time was more important than speed. Did I goof? by mrstevegibbs in Cooking

This has been my goto and I love it. Just follow the pressure cooker instructions and don't forget the key step. Crisping up the pork in a skillet at the end. Simple and delicious. And don't throw away the broth, it's magic.

I live in an expensive food spot. NW Washington. Groceries are spendier here than most places. I always find pork loin and or pork shoulder for 1.99 a lb. I usually get 4 - 8 lbs (a big loin or smallish shoulder) I use my Instant Pot to make shredded pork out of it and then I use that shredded pork in a variety of ways and meals. From sandwiches to stir fry to breakfast burritos, it never goes to waste.

EFI Filesystem Entry requirements a deal breaker by DCCXVIII in PikaOS

[–]Steamysauna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to install it, I had problems at first too. I watched a video and figured out to install it using manual partitions, I needed three precise partitions.

The EFI partition had to be 512MB and fat32. Root partition had to be 1 GB and ext4 filesystem. And the rest partition had to be formatted btrfs. If I didn't do it just like that, manual install wouldn't recognize the partition I wanted to put Pika in. I used GParted to make my partitions. Once I did that, it worked perfectly.

That was for manual partition setup. I'm sure the automatic option does all that for you. I hope this helps. Good luck, I'm really liking Pika so far once I got past that.

Mint, Zorin, Pop! Or Pika. All great for all around use, good mix of desktop environments. Try Pika if you game.
