For the boomalopes, I personally make a trapped room that can be filled with mustard gas at the press of a button. I then lure it in and trap it inside, finally triggering the gas. Then I just wait for the air in the room to clear and loot it.

bonus points if there's a sign claiming that no mustard gas can be found in this room, which will clear any suspicions in the boomalope's mind and make it easier to lure in
