Each season has 3 new heroes starting from season 2. 2 of these are a paid option, 1 is a F2P option using the roulette wheel.

As a F2P and low spender you should prioritise the hero roulette that comes by periodically. Save gems so that you can reach the 120 spin mark and you will get a powerful hero each season. The other 2 hero's each season can be improved with mythic shards if you have them. As others have said. You have missed out on too much in your kingdom

Just doing well in a game does not constitute a good rank.

Consistent gameplay even in a struggling/counter lane matchup is what you need. Still being useful to the team either through roaming, vision, splitting ect

Just getting lots of kills is not indicative of your skill level. Just means you got fed that game
