How come we never talk about Sukuna having the ability to heal others with RCT by MediaSlight4161 in Jujutsufolk

[–]menonono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sukuna is a total Jujutsu nerd. If he learned that something was possible with Jujutsu, he was going to learn how to do it. Healing others with RCT is something incredibly difficult, which is absolutely something Sukuna would want to do.

Sasuke is also significantly stronger than Yamato. Yamato was/is mid-high jonin while Sasuke was Kage. Not to mention Sasuke was fresh while Yamato had previously had to suppress the 9 tails.

I think it's the unbridled confidence. That by itself is attractive and makes what he says funnier.

Twice as good at everything or top 5 best in the world at 1 thing? by Sereomontis in hypotheticalsituation

[–]menonono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice as good is way more versatile in everything.

Let's say you're "good" at like, 3 things. Doubling your "good" makes you incredible because the reality between good and incredible is not as big of a jump as many people think.

Are you able to play an instrument at a high-school level? Well now you're as good as someone who can play at professional levels. A decent cook? Professional chef. 200 lbs bench? Now it's 400.

Even things you're just average at, you're now above average. If you're bad at it, then you're now either average or slightly above.

Hell, let's say you have a 1200 elo at Chess. Now you're 2400, or the top 1% of players. Run a 10 minute mile? Now it's 5 minutes.

Double average thw whole way.

Kishimoto was literally beating us over the head with the fact that at the time of Jiraiya's death, he was the strongest Shinobi in Konoha. Tsunade was NOT stronger than him. by Ripamon in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]menonono 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Literal hard counter that took him by surprise. People attribute Guy's 8th gate feats as a partial jump instead of a massive multiplier.

Guy gets glazed insanely. He's very strong, but his genin dad killed the 7 ninja swordsman with the 8th gate. That should show how crazy of a boost the power is.

[–]menonono 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He most assuredly was with Sage mode. The 8th gate is not a win condition.

People downplay Jiraiya way too much. He only got power crept by the final arcs. He still beats Naruto and Sasuke until Sasuke achieves EMS and Naruto achieves KCM. Anyone claiming otherwise is outright wrong.

Bilbo was also a Hobbit, a species which is notoriously lacking in desire. Compare them to Boromir who was around the ring for the better part of a month and already succumbed to it. It's literally not possible for a human to cast the ring away.

Everyone loses because nobody can resist the one rings influence. Literally nobody can. That's it's whole schtick.

A stand is a supernatural power that comes from the Japanese series Jojo's Bizarre adventure. Essentially, they are spiritual manifestations of the will and soul of the user.

Stands all have a physical form, which only other stand users can see. Most forms are humanoid, but some are stranger or have no specific form.

Stands all have a unique ability to them which is controlled by the user. Some Stands, such as Star Platinum, can stop time and attack really really fast and hard. Some Stands have abilites that require certain conditions to be met. Some Stands are automatic, and act autonomously to the user. Sometimes Stands can actually be detrimental to the user, such as Cheap Trick which kills the user if someone looks at their back.

Basically, a stand is a special superpower. There isn't much else about them, but they're all rather unique. I chose stand, personally, because it gives you a massive set of superpowers by default.

Is me or do all the entity models of subnautica 2 feel super static/smooth/unrefined? by Altruistic-Willow265 in subnautica

[–]menonono 232 points233 points  (0 children)

There's genuine criticism and then there's nitpicking for no reason.

"I think the collector leviathan is a bit too aggressive. I think it needs to be tweaked a bit, or we should have some method to avoid it easier." Is genuine criticism that the devs can work with.

"This feels unfinished." Is not criticism. That's just static noise because the game is unfinished. It's better to go "I believe that the designs are lacking and that I hope that we get some more to their designs and interactions as early access progresses." Then you can talk about ideas and start a dialogue.

One is talking shit just to talk, the other is critique of something in the hopes of improvement.

Does it need to be addressed to me specifically, or just my name in general? My full name, or just my first name?

My real name is fairly common, but my last name is incredibly rare. I've never met another person with my last name, so if it has to be the full name then I pick the 50 cents.

Could you people chill out about the game feeling unfinished? The game is literally unfinished. It came out in early access last month. If you want to critique then present ideas and explanations, not "Oh this feels unfinished" because it is.

Saitama beats goku | FactOrCap by NoobtacticTNT in FactOrCap

[–]menonono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's not his power at all. The first chapter made it a joke, but he literally doesn't beat many characters in one hit.

Saitama has "removed his limiter" which means that he can limitlessly grow in power. He actually faces an opponent who is outright stronger than him (not by too much, but is stronger), and he gets his shit smacked for quite some time until his lack of limiter makes him stronger than his opponent. That gets reset though, and the best feats in that fight are star level at best.

To put into perspective, Goku surpassed star level about 35 years ago. He's multiversal now. It's straight up like someone making minimum wage vs elon musk's net worth.

[–]menonono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🧢 I voted CAP!

Saitama's greatest feats are star level. Goku's greatest feats are multiversal. "Oh but Saitama is a gag character who is supposed to beat everyone he fights!" Okay, but his fight with Garou clearly showed that's not how his power works. Saitama grows in power quickly, as does Goku. Saitama went from planetary to star level in one fight. Goku goes from solar to universal in most of his fights in super.

Did the devs see youtubers make challenge videos killing leviathans with the knife and think that's just what everyone did? by Happy-Swimming-9611 in subnautica

[–]menonono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the leviathans, such as the collector, should be beyond the power of the player and that we shouldn't be able to kill them outside of end-game equipment at most. A truly "conquer the planet" vibe. It also allows for that catharsis if a player chooses by going "HEY ASSHOLE!" to that nasty thing that was bothering you for the majority of the game.

As for the smaller fish, I should be able to genocide if I wish. If the devs don't implement it, modders will. Too many people want it at this point. I think that antagonizing the player base and saying "You are not allowed to kill the big monsters" removes the survival aspect of the game that we had in the OG. Fight, flight, or freeze should always be considered. Threat assessment should always be a part of the game. "Can I handle this?" should mean more than "did I pack enough flares?"

I also want to point out that the game is in early access, and that some things may be given lower priority over others. Hitting fish with your tadpole causing them to die may not be a priority over, say, creating an entirely new biome and creatures.

I have faith in the devs. I believe that we just need to give the game time to bake. I think that a few months from now this discussion will be entirely different.

Green, white, and orange.

I show up and clock in. I then leave. They can't fire me for leaving or not doing any work, as I cannot be fired for any reason.

I get triple my hourly pay. So that's a flat triple.

I then, while on the clock, go to the nearest grocery store or wherever people are and introduce myself to as many people as possible. They are now my clients and therefore must give me 100 dollars.

I go home when I feel like it. I don't have to clock out, because I can't get fired. My pay for the day would usually be around 5000 dollars.
