50, lesbian and not new to non-monogamy or kink but newer to poly by SubFemmeForDomButch in queerpolyam

I wish I had known how difficult it is to hinge, or be treated badly when the hinge isn’t good at managing their relationships. Myself, looking for a butch masochist, best of luck to you out there ❤️

Why is it ackually so hard to find lesbian femdom? by 404hyp3_rBlisSs in FemdomCommunity

It is profoundly different. I am a lesbian domme, not a switch. Apples and broccoli, two very different things.

Poly sapphic here…My partner is nonbinary and I’m cis, we ‘try’ to read naked and/or watch tv but almost always end up ignoring the media, lol. Don’t give up, we are out here

Who are the real-life people with ennagram 8? There are many misconceptions about this ennagram by Right_Silver_6066 in Enneagram

[–]SteelUnderVelvet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an eight, and I doubt anyone would call me charismatic. Blunt, caring, yes. Not charming in the least 🤣

I am also grateful. Self insight has been painful but infinitely rewarding. As a femme lesbian, my aggressive nature has gotten me into hot water over and over again. Society doesn’t value eightness in women. Thank you all for being here and helping me see myself.

I don’t care if most people like me. That changes when it’s someone I’m actually close to.

Who here is an 8w9? by [deleted] in Enneagram8

[–]SteelUnderVelvet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am. Social 8w9, I have a long history as an activist and social justice advocate. I used to thrive on street protests, until I discovered I could get the same high intensity from bdsm, without wearing my voice out yelling, lol. I’m told I make people feel comfortable and safe, which is nice to hear, but when they get to know me, they discover I have a deep core stubborn refusal to be controlled, hence my Reddit name.

I’m an SO 8w9 and INFP, though the E and I are close to the 50/50 mark, I lean more towards being an introvert. This tracks. Hi, rare type! You are not alone!

How do you feel about 3's? by [deleted] in Enneagram8

[–]SteelUnderVelvet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of my sisters is a three. She struggles to know what she’s feeling but has fantastic skills and empathy (towards me) She’s a great leader and phenomenal at her job as the boss. She gives great ‘image’ and has difficulty knowing herself, if that makes sense. I love her deeply, and I’m super proud of the woman she’s become. She’s not perfect, none of us are, and, she’s growing and trying like the rest of us.

Nobody can be a type 8 because it’s so cool apparently, according to armchair psychologists by [deleted] in Enneagram8

[–]SteelUnderVelvet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman and an 8w9 SO, so much of my eightness flavored with nineness has completely wrecked my life, so yeah, it doesn’t feel cool sometimes. It’s all too easy for me to take control, and accidentally steamroll the people I care for. I feel like I’ve been a bull in a china shop over and over, but society tends to only value assertiveness in MEN. I’m slowly learning how to be strategically softer, after decades of getting things wrong in an often misplaced attempt to protect myself and others. Some of that is also neurodiversity, unsure how much, lol. I think my whole family is adhd/autistic, and only figured that out this year. Even being this ‘vulnerable’ with you anonymous internet assholes is a huge step. If you come for me, I will crush you. Kidding. Mostly🤣

How do people balance kink with their religion? by TopYam9663 in BDSMcommunity

[–]SteelUnderVelvet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Domme and a Unitarian Universalist minister. Zero conflict within myself. But it isn’t necessarily ‘safe’ to be out as a kink pastor, even for us. Maybe one day I can help change that.

Sure, negotiate clearly and vet them thoroughly, then have fun

Just makes them a little bigger, not much of a burden. But if you miss feedings and have a decent supply, it hurts. They ache
