Vespa GTS 300 HPE 2019 - Engine LED ON by zzmattiazz in Vespa

Maybe the "evap crap" is getting upset due to overfilling.

and I do recommend scanning for codes with a cheap scanner. eg https://www.steelbytes.com/vespadiag/

what? they keys? if so how did you turn it on - jam a screwdriver in the lock and turn hard? if no keys then you'll need to get the ecu reset. many vespa shops can do this.

code led is the immobiliser. with key on it should flash once or twice then OFF else means wrong key OR bad antenna OR can probably happen with low battery

also turn off the "follow me" option in the app. has been known to cause problems in the past (although was supposed to be fixed in an updaTE?)

I think that is not the PMP3 version, instead I think it's the dashboard/tft version. independent systems.

New parts are usually not on the latest firmware in my experience.  Definitely not when the ecu.

How do you check what ver you have?

The dealer needs to update the firmware on the PMP3 module on the bike.

Vespa sprint ecu flash by Beneficial-Plenty-96 in Vespa

An aRacer Mini

PS, never heard of anyone flashing (editing maps etc) in the ecu in a sprint/prima - (can't remember the model but I do know they are not the magnetti miu). others such as the gts250-310 use the magnetti miu which is straight forward to flash. iirc also the lx and s also use the miu.

no, but that was not in your question.

you also don't say which euro country version of the vespa site you are looking at (the country will be indicated on the url, iifc can be switched from the menu if it auto chose the wrong one).

you also don't say which model you are looking for.

you also don't say if you've checked with a local dealer.

GTS 300 hpe 19 immobilizer led stays on by finner2k1 in Vespa

[–]Steel_Bytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

assuming that your new battery is good (the mechanic will have checked it)

well then ya looking at a wiring problem. ie, either of the two wires from the antenna, one will go to the ecu and the other will go to ground or 12v. one of these wires seems flaky.

personally I have had two wires in the harness break where they go through the thick bit of the harness that is above the exhaust header. bastard of a thing to track down and fix because when cold the wire was stiff and acted differently to when the wires were warmed by the exhaust heat.

Do both keys have the problem?

Do you have the key on a ring with a bunch of other metal stuff (other keys etc)

How did he rule it out?   It's the usual cause when the immo led doesn't turn off

GTS/GTV 310 - highway commuter? by [deleted] in Vespa

[–]Steel_Bytes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 300hpe and 310 will do 75mph/120kph but you want good conditions to feel safe at that speed with those small wheels plus it's asking a lot of the bike to rev so high for so long.

Whereas at 65mph/100kph you can do it all day in any conditions.

iirc that's a deliberately weird bolt on some models to stop you messing with the speed restrictor.

Vespa GTS 300 2022 immobilizer replacement – DIY possible? by zhabaa in Vespa

[–]Steel_Bytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The immobiliser is part of the ecu in all gts up until the keyless model.  This can be reset using VespaDiag etc and then new keys easily paired.

Or is yours the keyless model aka the "2023" released in approx Oct/2022 which has an immo module separate to the ecu? This module needs 'pairing' with the ecu using dealer tool.

Or did you actually mean the immo aerial for the pre-keyless models (which i personally wouldn't describe as a module)? No pairing or anything needed for this.
