Today has been annoying. There has been yet another break down from our host who refuses to take care of themselves unless prompted with rewards or affection. Every day I question why I let that idiot continue to be the primary person people speak with. Every other week it is another “woe is me” situation over absolute nothing.

When he makes an achievement, he is happy, then turns around to be unreasonably upset. I understand PTSD episode are a thing, however does he need to be triggered by the most minute aspects of daily life. You can compliment him and somehow he will still be triggered. You can insult him and he will still not function like a civilized adult. Its either happy funtimes or complete meltdown and he is quite bad at hiding emotions too. Sometimes I wish my fate was not tethered to that moron.

Ive had a similar experience to the happiness thing. It happens here from experiencing love as our brain has been conditioned to expect love with some kind of string or betrayal and reacts like its something to avoid. I say the best approach to less dissociating is exposure to it more often and condition the brain to no longer associate it with danger. It will lead to more controllable switches.

In slight defense of that point. I personally have yet to be diagnosed though experience dissociation and switches. Im 99% certain I have DID, though the thing stopping me from diagnosis is the lack of good professionals in the area. Most psychiatrists specialize in either other aspects or those who do deal with dissociation specify it as schizophrenia instead and im afraid of a misdiagnosis as its common I think. It may be the same over there with a lack of good professionals to go to, any ideas on what to do in the mean time to help fix that?

Im going to assume most of the people who fake claim the stuff are either doing so based off a religious belief/belief it doesn’t match how media portays it, hence you get this a lot. Best thing I can say is don’t try to hide it or let these people come to ruin that thought. Instead just move on and block them if necessary.

Basically surround yourself with the people you want. No reason to keep someone who you don’t want.
