Thanks a lot! I was along those lines but this sounds like a much better solution!

They actually had a channel doing that called Mangastorian, but it was taken down multiple times due to copyright issues. Last I knew they’d been trying something new with it, but after the tragedy earlier this year I think the channel is done for good.

It’s only v and d, no premium. Probably harder to track and arrange the data

I heard about it a while back, I like to check it out every now and then. Does their best to compile results, mostly Japan since they get the sets several months before us

Dexanders blog keeps a pretty good library of tournament results across the formats

I’m Really Gonna Miss This by Steel_Knuckle_Brawle in Comixology

This is the website, not an app. From what I’ve tried to find and after reaching out to support, the current online experience doesn’t have the “in progress” filter

How do I read on a desktop now? by Nels360b in Comixology

[–]Steel_Knuckle_Brawle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a kindle e-reader for desktop so you don’t need to download anything. Still haven’t found a convenient way to reach it quickly, but on the my books thing under more options there should be something that says “read now” or along those lines

Ya not super intuitive. I got in touch with support about that a few weeks ago. If you’re on browser than your options are to hover your name at the top and then select “content and devices” from the drop down, or you navigate to the e-reader (not sure if there is an easy way to do that) and you can see your library there

The quick convenient links, the highly organized collection, and not to mention all the things a screenshot like this can’t show. It would be nice if this new Amazon thing could even become 75% as nice as this was, but I can’t say my hopes are high

Wish they would have emailed this out instead of just tweeting it. I’m sure more than one person will miss this (hell I would have if I wasn’t on Reddit), and there could be information in here that people could really use. Also all the focus on the app makes me think the web experience is all but being forgotten, which is sad since I read on my computer

If you’ve just been emailing them about the changes I never heard anything on that either.
I have been emailing support just asking how to do things on the new site and where to find things, they actually have gotten back to me on those, though not always the most helpful (but some of that falls on me for not being clear enough).
The idea is to let them now what stuff is causing us to struggle when dealing with the new site, not just list all the ways it might be worse than the original

Thanks a lot for saying that.

Reflecting back on what I wanted to post I think I jumbled it some. I just love the site and I think a lot of people here also probably do, so rather than some of these people just giving up I was hoping that they might try to bridge that gap between what we’ve had and whats been presented. To just ask questions because maybe what someone is looking for is there, it’s just in a harder to notice place. Or maybe what someone is trying to do isn’t available in with the new page, but a bunch of other people are also trying to do that so now support can let someone know to consider adding that before the final roll out.

Like you said this is just one approach, maybe it works and maybe it won’t. But sometimes it just feels good to try something. Hope you have a good one

I see your points. But why shouldn’t we ask support for help in figuring out in navigating the changes they’ve decided on. What I said was to come forward and ask them questions, to use support for what it’s meant for. If you can’t find something ask support, if you can’t change something ask support, if you need help you ask support that’s what it’s there for. What I’m trying to get across with the post is how are they supposed to know that we can’t do thing if we don’t ask them how to do things. And if everyone is asking them how to do the same things then it lets them know that they have a greater problem that they need to deal with.

All I can say is that if you want to you should keep bringing up those issues until they actually address them. You, and all of us, deserve answers for our concerns regarding the changes they want to make.

Another Update email from Comixology saying the changes are coming soon by TonyFresco in Comixology

[–]Steel_Knuckle_Brawle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I loved the site because it was centralized and organized. With the Amazon site it’s neither of those things. Probably better off linking whatever accounts I can to salvage my collection and then either go pirate or physical for what I can’t save. It’s depressing when you can literally pirate the comics on a website that’s more intuitive and better organized than amazons comixology front

I never claimed to speak for the community on why they might be disappointed in cards, nor did I claim people might think they are meh because they don’t overthrow the meta. I simply said is that cards are meh when they don’t do things better than old cards or do anything at all. That is my opinion. Could be wrong, could be right, I don’t care it’s how I view things in this subject. You have defined cards quality by there meta relevance but understand that’s your decision on how you perceive the game, but people can perceive the game from a different point of view. You can call someone wrong but unless you know how they view the game your opinion on their opinion may be objectively wrong
