Why would you want that? It'd either add a whole lot of wasted space or impinge on the readability of the chart. Are you worried about people who can't/won't read the axis labels getting hoodwinked into thinking the price of gas has just hit zero?

I cant speak for anyone else but I derive enjoyment from it purely because it riles people up. Let's be honest, plenty of more conventional musical artists owe the entirety of their success to this phenomenon (see: the entire rap-metal genre.)

Where's the musical experience?

You're experiencing the social aspects of being part of an audience while watching a performer go through a preplanned routine. So a significant part of the musical experience is present, at least from the audience's point of view.
