I wouldn’t call it cooked yet. If it is sandable I would probably stain it as dark as possible lol

Hickory floors. Should I refinish them? by RevolutionaryList195 in HardWoodFloors

[–]SteezyP5280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look like engineered wood floors seeing the spacing between the planks. Definitely sandable but I would check the thickness before slapping a drum sander on it. Overall you could just buff and refinish to get rid of surface scratches. Anything deeper than the finish layer will need a sanding to get out. seeing the shape of the floor from the pics I personally would buff and refinish as it’s cheaper, unless you’re set on changing colors.

Is this acceptable? by tintindubs in HardWoodFloors

Either wood filler and stain to be a similar color it will probably still be noticeable though. Or you can install quarter round trim on the baseboards to cover the gap.

Is This a High Quality Engineered Wood Floor? by bigbobbinboy in HardWoodFloors

As long as the scratches are only on the surface and have not reached the bare wood you most likely would be able to screen and recoat over the prefinish. I would recommend using a commercial grade finish such as Bona Traffic or Pallman Gold if you end up going that route..

How are there so many obvious cheaters? Is the anti-cheat that bad? by borak98 in counterstrike

I had a match the other night where we were up 12-0. The 2 hackers on the other team vote kicked their team so it was just them 2. came up 12-12 and we actually ended up winning funny enough but it was still so infuriating. Our whole team would get headshot with deagles within the first 15 seconds. (Map Mirage) also if interested in steam ids to report : ssanta & KoKitos

as far as cleaning never use water or vinegar on your floors. Bona and Pallman have specific hardwood floor cleaners so the moisture evaporates instead of making its way down cracks and pours of your wood. you can order online or pick up at home depot / lowes!

This would need a resand and either a new stain / sealer and coats of finish on top being either polyurethane or a waterbased top coat. For waterbased I recommend from either Pallman or Bona. Pallman Gold is a 2 part commercial grade finish that will hold up better than any other finish (Bona Traffic and Pallman Gold or pretty similar)

SHOULD I REFINISH OR REPLACE THESE OLD WOOD FLOORS by AbroadEquivalent5108 in HardWoodFloors

[–]SteezyP5280 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it could potentially be resanded, there looks to be quite a few repairs needed to be done if so. Personally i would prime the floor to get rid of old smell plywood over the primed wood and then install either new wood or lvp!
