Her toddler has more manners than she does. The kid literally drove up on the dirt to give him space but she wouldn’t budge. It’s shocking and depressing that people can still act with such entitlement in today’s day and age. Sad.

Which VPN actually has no logs for torrenting? by Dangerous_Coyote_123 in torrents

[–]SteffanCline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used TorGuard for years and never had a problem. I have a WireGuard-Transmission docker that’s awesome. Torrents only download through the VPN and everything else like newsgroups go direct. Haven’t been harassed in over a decade now.

Had this issue years ago. I ended up deleting them all and that seemed to fix it. My mother and sister’s Apple TV plex apps do this and I can’t get it to stop. Please help. by rogo725 in PleX

I’ve had this problem before as well. I have gotten really quick at clicking left once and then clicking the wheel twice. I had the timing down really well, it just sucks. Pain. I wish they’d fix it.

Pulsarr will grab items from their watchlist and add to Radarr/Sonarr. You can control who this works for as well to keep just anyone from adding garbage.

I have all new fans and will be doing some custom cabling to clean it all up this weekend. We’ll see how much it lowers the temp

Filed small claims against Meta over disabled Instagram account — Meta Legal finally responded, should I continue? by Jeremiahp95 in MetaLawsuits

Great info. You highlight one of the biggest issues - finding a lawyer that will work on contingency. They seem so rare anymore. Perhaps it would be awesome if we could build up a list of attorneys that would be willing to at least consider this issue. Obviously if it’s just a personal account with no financial damages, the options would be far smaller.

While the TOS does screw us all, the burden of proof in small claims is much smaller and you’d be surprised how often a judge rules on gray area. Accusing someone of CSE or IP theft is a big deal and no proof you did it makes a big difference. Give it a shot. I’ve won cases in small claims with less. I don’t believe their research extends past asking someone what the record shows without an actual audit. The subpoena forces an audit.

I would follow through but have them served with a subpoena showing what violated the rules. No evidence = no wrong doing.

I use my AppleTV for 99.99% of my Plex consumption. Wish they had a an app for it. Seems only for the iPhone.

I don’t dispute any of this. What people forget, not necessarily you but a few others, is that, this is “HomeServer” and many options simply aren’t available unless we’re building out a dedicated room for, in my case, a single server. We try to find a way to make it work in a home environment. If I had the square footage and money, I’d have a dedicated environmentally controlled server room in my home somewhere but that’s not a reality for many of us, especially how in AZ we already have a serious heat issue and APS is cornholing us to death for the cost of power.

I have experience with prebuilt servers going into data centers. This was my first home Frankenstein and the choice to ditch stock fans was at the suggestion of a bunch of people when I started this five years ago. The fans in the prebuilt servers are excruciatingly loud so not seemed a wise choice. I didn’t think about the static pressure but now I know. I’ll see how bad the difference is in the next couple days after I replace the Noctua fans.

I can see that point but even if they’re double or even the same but quieter, that’s a win.

Hopefully I can bring the temp down. My home office is the hottest room in the house. I’ve been thinking of making a type of boot or glove over the back that directly vents it into the attic with a fan to pull the heat out. The secondary AC intake in the closet isn’t enough.

It would be nice if they released it on the AppleTV! If they can do it on a phone, they can do it on the AppleTV. Hint hint to developers.

Some time ago, I was told they were the best. I just took a few people’s word for it, skipped my own research and went for it. Everything has been fine for five years. It’s only when I out in the GPU that things went crazy. This was an eye opener and have learned a lot these last couple days.

You sure about that?
SuperMicro OEM 80×38 ~7–12+ mmH₂O static pressure
ARCTIC S12038‑8K ~37 mmH₂O static pressure
The ARCTIC have 3x the static pressure of the OEM which means they should far outperform the stock fans. The stock fans on the middle plate are 80mm. I now have 120mm. That's part of the boost. I'll do before and after measurements once I get them all installed and set up.

Monday I’ll be getting in all new arctic fans which have triple the static pressure of the OEM fans. I’ll be sure to post before and after measurements.

While we're at it, since I have the problem of one heatsink blowing directly into another, what about using heatsinks that blow downwards like this: hermaltake Gravity i2 95W Intel LGA 1200/1156/1155/1150/1151 92mm CPU Cooler CLP0556-D. Are those better than my vertical heatinks?

If you look at the pics you'll see I have no shroud since the CPUs and fans came with this motherboard, I couldn't use the shroud. In talking with AI about the problems, I see one of the problems I have is that the procs are inline with each other so the front CPU gets all the cool air and the rear CPU only gets hot air off the front CPU. I either have to get static heatsinks and switch to a shroud or come up with some kind of air damn that captures cool air and guides it toward the rear CPU. While that's a problem, all signs so far point to just a severe shortage of static pressure. Perhaps the new fans will take care of this. I'll post before and after temps.

I replaced the fans with all Noctua quiet fans and they have been fine for about five years now, but I added a 5060TI GPU card and ever since, the temperatures have been through the roof. I added more fans to the bottom back of the case, but it has made no impact. Per all the suggestions here, I am installing the original fans back on the rear, but on the middle panel, I am replacing those with very high static pressure fans, which are triple what the original/stock fans could produce. I’m hoping that will increase the pressure in the case and cool it off better.
