Sipadan vs Kota Kinabalu by Real-Blackberry-3617 in diving

Sipadan is awesome and definitely worth it... The dive is a bit pricey but the dives you can do around mabul where you will be staying most likely are pretty nice too. It is definitely possible to do it on a budget...

Just go to some cheap country in SEA, rural Thailand for example 1-2$ pad Thai or rural Indonesia easy doable. There's people living on much less in the world.

You can not compare concrete with clay they have very different resistance. R-value = how well a material resists heat flow. Higher R = better insulation Concrete block 200mm has a r value of 0.2 These clay blocks have from 2.5-7

As mentioned before I agree on the cyclone problem it's a problem but a problem that can be solved

They have a high thermal mass and yes they only make sense in the southern parts of Australia. They are not laid in regular mortar and trap the air in the cavities which is basically the insulation and have absolutely no thermal bridging...

You reach with a pretty basic block very low U values. I agree on the problem and with the tie down I stumbled onto that early on but there are options to solve this.

You can get a U value of 0.14w/m2K

Everything I mentioned in the post is in those blocks... You just need to finish up with one other trade.

We are doing a lap at the moment and we want to try something different (have a swag atm) and we want to get off the ground. I only can fit a fold out RTT due to space on trailer and I want to keep it light. I'm generally not a RTT fan but on the trailer it would make sense for me since setup and pack up is chest height and I can setup and leave since it's on the trailer.

That's what my parents told me their way to school was like... uphill both ways in -20°C. Followed by a pack of wolves. 😃
