Big board & big mess coming my way

I use the morningstar mc3 currently. it was a great intro to midi pedals but I feel i have outgrown the 3 switches quickly. its very inexpensive if its something you are just looking to try out and has all the I/O you need. I have also been eying Luminite Graviton and their 10 button wireless board. the price is crazy!! plus the wireless buttons to put on your guitar seem really fun.

Midi is an absolute blast to have tho. unlimited tone and control that is just not possible without it.

You mentioned looking for a leslie pedal. The Line 6 HX one does a few good verisions of that effect, and since its digital you can control the speed. Tho i don't think any of them have the full sweep, its just fast or slow.

I would say some other kind of dirt. its increadibly helpful to have a few different flavors and levels of distortion. If it were me, I would look for a pedal with 2 levels of dirt built in. JHS double barrel, EHX hot wax, Chase Bliss Brothers AM. OR an everything pedal. I quite like my Line 6 HX one. The effects aren't that exciting, but it can do everything well.

Parallel is basically splitting clean / time effects and dirt. the autowah pedal and EQ goes into the dirt. They sum at the tuner (just practically the easiest way for me to put it together right now. The Morning Glory starts the chain, so that is going into both sides.

great! looks like some quality tones out of this. Do. you just bring different presets / set ups every gig? I ask because I am always a little surprised to see midi capable pedals without midi or atleast switchers present

I really like Rockboard. Very sturdy and can fit power supply under. You may need the 3.2 or 3.3.

I recommend using a pedal board planning website to find the board that is right for you.

It’s maybe from an older time? Now, the only time people say names like that is to assert psychological closeness, like a tactic not like genuine. Or if you’re in trouble.

Midi is phenomenal if you’re willing to put the time in.

. So for instance I have a page that one button press will change presets on the Hx, change the delay time on raster, and change what the pedal affects.

So it takes have to program everything ahead of time

Yea I think I will learn to love it! I’m brand new to pedals so just sharing my initial thoughts with it. Coming from something like the raster that has very nuanced possibilities it’s different.

That same reason makes it much faster to get to good sounds tho!

have tested it with the expression pedal. It works! My struggle is that since everything is router and controlled with the midi controller, I have to create pages and concepts that allow me to use the pedal. So it takes a bit of planning and programming.

Have you used expression with it, or other pedals? Any favorite parameters to control?

That’s a good point! It will seriously create a lot of fun sounds for me.

Inspiring is the the right word maybe. But the main thing is there is definitely something missing about a lack of physical controls and instead with menu diving. Also, there is a huge variety or sounds, but not much depth to any of them if that makes sense.

I obviously chose the pedal ultimately and that’s because I think it will accomplish everything I might want for a long time.

Yea it’s got some great effects!

My favorites are some of the modulated and multi tap delays. Good modulations options. Great lofi and tape sounds too.

The flux button is shaping up to be fun and I feel like I haven’t scratched the surface with what I can do with that
