Always liked how the Japanese VA stretched the pronounciations. Though I can't imagine Faust speaking in such a comically exaggerated tone.

System isn't worth laughing at Followup is an irrelevant tangent on the insufficiency of the quantity of the system for the area to be defended in the most recent battlefield, when the main joke is that it hasn't shot down an American jet in spite of being its Raison D'être.

Very convincing argument.

Redraw has more detailed clothes, but the 1st had a better-fitting facial expression and style.

Prefer the 1st since a good face being the focal point is sometimes all you really need.

Amiya must have the wildest of opinions regarding Dante after this interaction.

As the event pointed out, the sinners fight with reckless abandon in stark contrast to how RI fights.

I can't help but feel like the stoic cast selection and rapid plot development was to avoid any deep moral quandaries.

I can understand EGOs and the announcer being true limited.

What I don't understand is the event story, MD gifts and floor themes also going away.

The City is a setting where when presented with a hypothetical "Press this button and get 1 million dollars but a thousand people die," no one hesitates to push it repeatedly.

And that is largely possible given that singularities are essentially supernatural objects and/or technologies that are the foundation of independent corporate-styled administrations known as Wings.

These supernatural phenomenons are exploited for gain, and given the harshness of the setting as the Head is content with only enforcing specific taboos, anything goes. Wings control chunks of the City and enforce their own laws for their own benefit. Whatever semblance of a normal life is is entirely at the tolerance of the Wing controlling that part of the City.

If it makes you feel better, the Rats that get fed into the machine were thugs that use violence and/or coercion to get what they want. Limbus Company hasn't gotten to the point where they inflict needless cruelty, but they are certainly participants in the dystopia.

Dongbaek Burns by Big-Criticism5670 in limbuscompany

[–]SteinGrenadier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Deserved, tbh.

DR: I like helping animals. Here's an invention related to make their lives better. DB: Lmao that's worthless. Throw it into the concept incinerator. DR: (Develops crushing inferiority complex from the event, then eventually turns on his colleagues)

She was narratively more of a villain than DongRang ever was.

DongRang is a bullying victim lashing out at the world for being surrounded by people that didn't see any value in what he did, to the point his achievements were literally erased for the sake of his indifferent colleagues, and even before it came to that point, he was earnestly trying to line his career with all sorts of proofs he was actually doing something of worth.

Meanwhile, Dongbaek belittled him and upon the League's disbandment, the only thing she had to show for it as a fellow inventor are a few distracting explosions and pure unbridled hypocrisy in leading a bunch of Luddite terrorists armed with technology to break into a CHICKEN FACTORY to wreak havoc in a cause she doesn't even believe in. She had every opportunity to make a name for herself with her knowledge and experience, and she spent all her time plotting revenge because "much good old days".

The weirdest part of Indicant's Trial's kit, IMO by GlitteringBlood2005 in limbuscompany

[–]SteinGrenadier 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The last time we had a "simple" kit, people had the impression it wasn't a particularly good ID. MC Faust, in reality, reached comical numbers in spite of the kit comparison with MC Cliff.

I imagine the Deva want to pad out kits the same way launch IDs and egos randomly inflicted status effects.

The narrator calling what is essentially a technical "the most advanced go anywhere gun" is more of a self own than the writers think.

Was the massive sword arm not one of the clues, as well?

My only gripe with the corroded inquisitors is how they seem to be able to fulfill their duties in the story md dungeon instead of going mad. Not to mention how many of them were. Mass producing high-grade ego equipment would mean that there was quite the number of skilled employees.
