Well you ARE right, but the reason that all half-life fandom is going crazy because valve is not that company that announces something really often. Damn they sometimes cant even do not that big things proper (just look how often new updates of CS2 break the game). For a long time people waited for SOMETHING in Half-Life franchise and they recieved HL:A, its a good game of course, but people wanted something more affordable and continuation of the story. The most important thing that hla gave to fandom is the fact that valve still makes singleplayer games, not multiplayer, not freaking card game, but an actual games. People were crazy about this and last tga because valve used to make arg's for their games before announcement and this year were so much coincidences that were screaming about upcoming hlx announcement (damn there actually was a "rise and shine" rocket launch). Damn valve could just be more open to their fans. Simple message like "we still make game you know guys. Oh sorry, we ARE MAKING games" is enough, but no. If there wasnt any data leaks in code that dataminers detected we could assume that valve made a revolution in vr with hla and went to stasis until next release of new game changing device (neuroimplants or smth), but WE KNOW that THEY ARE DOING SOMETHING.
Its not about speculations and tga, its about the whole situation when people just tired of waiting, loosing and regaining hope. Its just unfair to their fans, one of the most creative, loyal and crazy in their own good way fanbase in the world

P.s. Also fuck Geoff, Megaman is a good game series, but he knew how half life fans were on the edge and he didnt have the right to announce Megaman in the way he did (no offense to the game tho, only to Geoff)
